at church this morning a kid and her mom (about 28) stops to look at my car. The kid seemes to like the car and wouldnt walk away from it. So i go over to the car and the mom is embarrased and tells me that the kid loves cars. I tell her we both have something in common. I asked the kids mom if its alright for me to give him a ride....and he starts jumping up and down. I took him for a ride and he loved the sound of the car and how it rides. It was just an awesome feeling to see the kid enjoying the car as much as i do.

So after 5 days of ownership I finally got my first stupid comment/conversation. I am leaving the grocery store with my girlfriend and have 1 foot in my car when some 50 yr old guy walks up and asks "Who's car is this" mind you I am halfway in the car already.

stranger: Did you make this?
Skibum: No, it's a Lotus.
stranger: Looks nice.
Skibum: Thank you (trying to end conversation and leave)
stranger: How much horsepower does it have?
Skibum: 190
stranger: My V-rod has 140, do you know what those are?
Skibum: yea
stranger: Do you want to race?
Skibum: Only if there are turns

stranger: My generation only races in a straight line, yours likes to smoke tires around corners.
stranger: one more thing, your front and rear wheels don't line up

I just wanted to tell him that he was stupid and thanks for wasting 5 minutes.

I unlock the door and get halfway in when they ask me if if that's my car ( I'm thinking, no I just robbed a bank and stole it as a getaway car). I gave them a funny look and told them yes and they asked me if they could drive it. I told them 1 of them couldn't fit in both seats combined and took off.
