I feel a little bad about this, but not crushed with grief.
Since I live in "Gamecock Country" (the original USC) there are LOTS of cars painted / decorated in garnet an black.
On the way to work a couple of college boys aggressively pull up on my tail revving their 5.0 red and black gamecock emblazonned Mustang, then pulled along side of me at a light.
Passenger: "Old man in his mid-life crisis car."
Driver: "You can't TOUCH my 5.0 Mustang"
Trying to be the (54 y/o) adult, I ignore them...
...we get on the 270 degree freeway on-ramp.
I decided to teach a practical physics lesson in lateral acceleration and the coefficient of friction.
The Lotus, being, well, a Lotus, passed (despite my mediocre driving ability) - of course.
The lads, unfortunately for them, attempted to keep up and spun out into the grass before they made it to the freeway.
