I was loading weights on the bar at our local YMCA when a guy walked by on the mini-track and asked "is that electric?" After a brief awkward spell while I stood there wondering why anyone would want to electrify a bench press, or how you'd even go about it, he finally said "that's your yellow car out there, right?"
Oh, yeah. And no, it's not a Tesla. |

Had a good one yesterday...
Wifey wanted hooters for dinner so thats where we went. As we were parking, the truck parked next to us was pulling out and rolled down his window as we got out of the car. He says: Him: "Is that a real Lotus?" Me: "Yes sir" Him: "What brings you to town?" Me: (Kind of confused, and froze for a sec) "I live here" Him: "Oh, I thought you might have been in town for a car show or something" Me: "Nope, I do live here" Him: "Really nice car" Me: "I appreciate it" |

I told the story to MY wife and expected her to stop me with the same question. When she didn't, I pointed it out. She said she would have been more likely to ask: "What, your wife wanted to ride in that stupid-ass car?"

Mostly for the food because she said the girls at our hooters are ugly. She says the girls at twin peaks are much hotter and likes it there better. |

I have one that made me shake my head today. I go to the same hand car wash place but today a new guy was there. When he was taking down my information, he tried upselling me on a wax by asking me the last time I had one done:
Him: When was the last time you waxed it? Me: About 3 months ago Him: Do you want one? Me: Nah, I do that myself at home, Clay and wax. Him: Ah, ok. See all this on your side sill? It's really rough. Wax will make it smooth. Me: That area is starshield. You don't want to wax over that. Him: Yea, but your door too. See how it feels rough? Me: Yes, that's because its dirty. When you wash it, it'll be smooth again. I just clayed it at the same time I waxed. The whole convo reminded me of this:

Yeah, well, he doesn't care about our primitive gunpowder propellant guns. He uses those weird aluminum laser ray guns from whatever planet he's from because he got those long alien fingers that can activate the alien DNA locked weaponry.
