i'm going to give that nine head bangs.

Actually it was taken out of context. Read the whole thing again, especially the part right after the above statement. I mentioned by wining the lottory (btw I don't play) or by early retirement (most likely)...ding, ding, ding!!! We have a winner. For me, if I can work hard now, and manage and invest my money wisely, then I can retire early and have my money work for me; I consider this having something handed to me, even though I am ulitmately resonsible for the outcome. Finally, everybody's family is different. Some parents can afford to buy their kids a brand new car when they turn 16. This does not mean that their kids are never going to be able to take care of themselves. Also, don't say you wouldn't do the same (take a free car at age 16, or even now from a filthy rich uncle) if you were never presented the possibility.

And finally, I was just kidding! Sheeeeeeesh; stop taking everything so litteraly and being such a dork.

I'm going to call my dad tomorrow to see if he will buy me a new leather interior trim set for my new S. Did I mention that he bought the car for me? It really feels great having a full bank account and a paid off Exige S titled in my name.

Thanks for using more punctuation this time, too. Seriously, I mean it. No sarcasm.

Why are run-ons so popular with those <25? I don't get it. Maybe it's the IMing culture? How do people write coherent e-mails or use corporate IM when they get to the real world?

I'm not trying to be a Grinch, but it's hard to read sentences without proper formatting.

BE NICE!!!
It is most likely aim that causes the <25 to talk like that. However, I can speak proper English if needed. I did not know that Elisetalk required proper writing.

It's just a personal pet peeve that I have, because it sometimes does get difficult to read a run-on sentence, especially if you have three or four mashed into one. My personal opinion that it's hard to convey your idea across to others when they can't immediately understand what you're trying to say, especially when all they have is your writing.

You know, it's funny, but I think it'd actually be easier to afford one of these cars when you're 18 then when you're 25, and even harder when you're 30. For many, I'm sure their monthly payment is around $1k, I know I certainly made more than that a month when I was 18. Living at home, I didn't have to pay rent or for food, just gas and when I ate out. Anyone working a job and living at home should be able to afford this car.

But once you're out of college/home, you then have to start making house/rent payments, grocieries, insurance, doctor, electric, water, phone, internet bills, etc... I can still afford this car, but it would've been easier when I was 18 actually...

And at 30? Cost of a stay-at-home wife, kids, pre-school tuition, bigger house, extra car for wife to run around in, and all that... I can't even imagine how hard it would be to make ends meet if you were also paying for a $60k car...

Moral of the day? Don't ever have kids

If you want to see the study, you should be able to find it at the NIH. Have fun reading.

The Washington Post (from azcentral.com): Lack of brain maturity may explain teen crash rate
A National Institutes of Health study suggests that the region of the brain that inhibits risky behavior is not fully formed until age 25, a finding with implications for a host of policies, including the nation's driving laws.

Science Daily: Brain Changes Significantly After Age 18, Says Dartmouth Research
"The brain of an 18-year-old college freshman is still far from resembling the brain of someone in their mid-twenties," says Bennett. "When do we reach adulthood? It might be much later than we traditionally think."

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration: How Graduated Driver Licensing is Effective
Driving is a skill that improves with time and maturity.
Young novice drivers are a highway safety problem for many reasons, primarily a combination of immaturity, inexperience and high-risk driving exposure.

Factors Affecting Young Driver Safety
Research was sponsored by the Joint Highway Research Advisory Council (JHRAC) of the University of Connecticut and the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
The results of this study reconfirm the general findings of previous work that young drivers, especially young males and those who are 16 and 17 years old, are more likely to cause both single and two vehicle traffic crashes.

CNN Money: Study: Deadly states for teen drivers
Drivers aged 16 to 20, who make up six percent of the driving population nationwide, are involved in 20 percent of all fatal motor vehicle crashes, according to END.

To the single guy, kids are on the same level as STDs. Both can ruin your life.

23 here. I saved up a year in order to get enough of a down payment to afford it. I put in ALOT of overtime and actually changed jobs primarily so I could get higher pay and afford the car.

Lewis Hamilton (age 22) needs to recognize that only us old farts have the mental capacity and deserve to drive fast cars.

Right, and Stephen, when you say that:
Don't say you guys, it is just a few clowns who think that way. Age has nothing to do with it. What if you had been brought up since the age of 6 racing carts and are now a professional race car driver at 19. This is all very possible. In fact, I think a lot of the wanna be racers on here have passed their windows and will never be able to compete with today's youth who were brought up racing cars
I think that the references that I posted above show that age has everything to do with it when you are looking at the general population, and not the 0.001% whatever percent that "had been brought up since the age of 6 racing carts and are now a professional race car driver at 19."

Owe-up, buddy.
