Will this jack fit under the Elise/Exige?

I was just about to buy this jack since it will be able to lift my beamer and the lotus (when i get it)... but I just noticed that its minimum lift height is 4 1/8 inches as opposed to some of the other all aluminum jacks that have a 3 1/4 inch min lift height. Will this jack be able to fit under the elise/exige and if so, do you think it would fit under the car if one of the sides was already on stands???

have you had any issues with the casters falling off. i could only find 2 reviews on the jack. both said it was a great product but they also both mentioned having problems with the rear casters

just be sure you allow spare room for the hockey pucks.

Looks like it should be ok.

Thats the one I have also. Costs a bundle and weighs 50 pounds. Lighter/cheaper/smaller jacks available everywhere at fraction of the cost. This one is a premium jack of back breaking weight and size in my opinion. If you buy it from tirerack (Tire Rack Aluminum Service Jack and Jack Stand Set) comes with premium jack stands. Saw a thread here somewhere where lesser stands had a weld come apart and drop the car, and this jack stand style was recommended.

thanks for the link onion.

Pros of the tire rack jack:

-10 lbs lighter
-about $10 cheaper than the big red jack + 2 jack stands
-lower minimum lift height (3.5" vs 4 1/8")

Pros of Torin Jack:

-Max lift capacity of 2.5 tons vs 2 tons
-you claim that it is of higher quality

Hmmmm... decisions decisions

I have the Torin jack also. No need for hockey pucks as the saddle already has rubber padding on it. However, I'm going into year 3 with it and it is not working right. It just will not keep the car in the air unless pressure is maintained on the handle. I'll be replacing it soon and not with another Torin.

Here is the jack I have..

Its 5lb lighter than the tire rack jack and has a min height of 3-1/4". Has held up great for 2 years and I use it quite a bit as I swap tires/rims quite a bit on my car. Has a rubber cap on the saddle so you do not need a hockey puck.

BTW, I love this jack..

I've been on this forum for a while, on and off. And one thing has always puzzled me.

Do you really need a couple of jacks to lift an Elise? Couldn't 4 guys just pick it up and put it on higher ground?
