Wrecked Elise... New 2.0 Elise member?

Happened earlier today in Hayward, wasn't my fault - they fled the scene of the accident - CHP was a joke, 911 never even picked up my call... lots of bad stuff... god I'm depressed right now, but I bought some hard liquor on my way home after my night class (used mom's car) so I should at least sleep ok tonight... car is going to be towed to SVAG tomorrow morning

I don't know to hope it gets totaled or repaired... my deductible is 500$ and I can't sue for diminished value unless they catch the other driver (fat f'in chance) so... god I just don't know, depends what USAA considers the value of the car, not enough I'm sure... I'm going to try and sleep, anyway here are a couple pics I took...

Sorry for your loss, but looking at the pictures, it might be just cosmetic, meaning they may not totalled the car. the oil cooler may get damaged, but it looks like the structure is still OK. you may get a new clam. if so, ask to get an exige front clam (if you like exige front clam)

Did they speed off in front of you? Damn, that sucks. Your alignment might be off as well. Was this on 880? You didn't happen to catch the license plate?

This makes me all the more want to get the Chase cam. I just need to figure out which package to order (wish that there was one with two cameras, one for front and one for back).

Pictures like that make me ill. I am happy that you were not hurt. The car can be replaced but you can't.

Sorry to hear about your car.

I hope it all works out for ya...remember that they still make these cars, you could get a new one later.

Keep in mind that stuff that sucks like this is temporary...

I somewhat know how you feel. And like gameson said, it might not be as bad as you thought. I crashed mine on the track and was able to repair it myself. As long as there is no frame damage, you should be ok. Here are a few pics of what happened to mine and some of how it looks now. Maybe they will give you a little hope....

Bummer! On the plus side, it looks to be quite repairable, though.

First let me say what others have said, I'm glad your physically OK. Having been in a very bad car crash its not something I would wish on anyone, your whole life can literally change in a second. Secondly your car may be lucky, if the frame isn't tweaked, it should be fairly easy to repair. Its hard to tell from those pictures, it looks like the RF wheel is pushed back a little, but it could just be the angle of the picture. Good luck with everything!

USAA is the best insurance company i have ever dealt with.
rest assured, they will take care of you minus your $500 deductable.
material things dont matter, you are ok , thats what matters.

Sereboff1 should chime in, but I think you might be able to go after your own insurance company for diminished value.
