Bulk Oil
I recently decided to try to go bulk when buying certain motor vehicle related items.

For example; I got a great deal on WIX filters for the dozen or so vehicles I need to regularly change the oil on (by buying a dozen or more of each filter and getting a 20% discount for a high enough $ purchase)

I recently bought a 5 gallon container of Rotella 15/40 diesel motor oil at tractor supply (bringing the per quart price down from $3.31 for a single quart to $2.50 when buying the 5 gal bucket)

I have seen 6 gallon Castrol GTX 5/30 on line but the per quart cost is not a saving over by the quart purchase.

Does anybody buy motor oil in 5 gallon containers or more and if so where do you get them?

I bought bulk oil before.. Just contact your nearest distributor.. But fwiw, many of them wont give you much a discount unless you buy a lot.. And fwiw, retail sales are usually same deal.. Because they buy direct from manufactuers vs distributors.. And walmart is a big killer for them...

Your only savings would be buying in bigger containers walmart and the other retailers don't sell..

I buy racing pennzoil ultra/shell helix 10w60 in 5 gallon pails..
