Can someone please recommend a quality HID kit?

I searched the forum and can't seem to find a solid answer. I would like to upgrade my headlights to HID on my 2009 S240 but can't figure out what the best kit is. I want to keep both high and low beams functional and would like the light to be hyper white with a touch of blue. I've had a lot of issues with HID's in the past, so I really want to purchase the best, most reliable kit that other people here have had success with.

Thanks in advance for any replies and I apologize if I missed where this question has been beaten to death previously.

This shop recommended this one as a common one for conversions with a good pattern.
I haven't used one yet, so no idea if it will work for yours.
I was asking about quartz.

HID
Hella Bi-Xenon 90mm Hi-Lo Headlamp | Rally Lights

LED
Hella L4060 90MM BI-LED High/Low Beam Module Gen II
Hella 90mm Bi-LED Headlamp Module, Hi-Low Beam | Rally Lights

Quartz
Hella 90mm Bi-Halogen Hi-Lo Headlamp, ECE, DOT, Left or Right Hand Traffic | Rally Lights

Go with 6000k, try the Amazon Kensun kit. H7 is the bulb type. STAY AWAY FROM DDM TUNING. Their HIDs are garbage, in less than a year my driver's side light became discolored and flickered. They did replace under warranty but I had to pay shipping.

I have the Kensun's from amazon in my other car and they are holding up great for almost 3 years.

VtotheJ - Thank you very much for the recommendation. I have also had several sets of DDM kits in the past and they were all garbage.

I am a little concerned that the Kensun kit is only $60. I am a "pay more and buy a quality part once" type of guy. Also, according to the fitment guide, the Kensun kits are not compatible with our cars.

I will continue searching for a solution and will let you know what ends up working.

Thanks!
Marc

Try these guys. They have been very helpful in upgrading my other cars to HID. I have a kit for the Elise, but have yet to install it

Aaah..bummer I think 09 would have the sealed headlight units. That probably limits you just to doing bulbs unless you open them up? Not sure.

Anyway the bixenon shutter projectors in this kit are sweet.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate all of the input!

Unfortunately I am limited by the sealed headlights, so as Nickshu mentioned, I can only replace the actual bulbs.

I will continue my search for a solution and will post when I figure it out.

Thanks!

I bought the Morimoto led headlights. They are amazing so easy to install.

Mine is an 08 so I think they are the same H7.

Thank you very much for your reply. I was considering the Morimoto's but have zero experience with them and don't know anyone who has bought them.

So - I am going to order these now and give them a try. I should have the car back from the shop mid-march and will report back on the lights at that time.

Thanks!

I've also got the Morimoto 3Five kit from Retrofitsource. They came with my car purchased 12/2015 and are probably ~3 years old now. No issues, just work.

Morimoto is one of the best names in the industry. Their stuff is expensive but it just works.

How funny. I have the DDM kit on my exige and the drivers side is discolored / flickering.
Did a new bulb fix it, or did you have to replace the Ballast as well?

I made DDM send me a new bulb and ballast, good as new. They should do the same for you.

The Kensun's from Amazon are holding up great in my other car. No discoloration, no flickering and it's been almost 3 years.
