Greetings, Programs!

Greetings Gents,
I'm the LOG Chairman for LOG 33, aka "they", and will reply to your collected comments/questions tomorrow evening once I pick up my new laptop in Danbury tomorrow and get it fully set up. I'd reply earlier, but Bob Fogle, Brian Jenkins (LOG 32 Chairman, who happens to be up in CT visiting family), and I will be meeting with the prospective hotel manager for lunch tomorrow in CT, during which we'll nail down some more details and place our weapons on the table in a not-so-subtle attempt to intimidate him in to reducing the per-plate rate for the banquet (room rates in his first proposal were excellent--below the lower end of the range we were looking for). On a more serious note, if you have any questions/comments/suggestions/rants/or Bahar jokes that you'd like to share off-forum, please email me at matt@log33.net. Speaking of which, LOG33.net will go live the week after Thanksgiving and will include a few opening dispatches from Hethel and environs where I'll be next week. And FYI, rumors about a Gino Rosato charity dunk-tank at LOG 33 are completely false. Unfortunately. - Matt P.S. For those of you not familiar with Lime Rock, we'll be working out a discount for Lotus, Ltd. members on the excellent documentary DVD, Lime Rock Park: The Secret Valley of Racing. Info to follow on that at LOG33.net, but this is a nice little overview.

Moxie,
Please have the Lotus Ltd registration form need a space for screen names. Those names should appear on our name tags, along, of course, with our real names.

Yes, I have been to conventions where they had a spot for "nicknames". That should work.

OTOH, I've been telling organizers of LOGs and other events this for years. Got nowhere. I think we know enough about human nature and the internet to know this would be good.

Yep. His commentary while we were out was hilarious, frustrated that he was going so slow but the pack wasn't keeping up--"I could drive a bloody tank faster than this!"

Thanks. It's already in development, but I'll gladly take you up on it if things get hairy.

Interested in the track day for sure. Lime Rock is such a fun little track.

Just to be clear. Our track day is @ Monticello.
Lime Rock is reserved for the Vintage Fall Festival. LRP is pretty track on which I've spend many days, but it is a dangerous place compared to many others. Not been to Monticello; no opinion.

I don't know that it's confirmed, but that is their aim.

Ah well...I was looking forward to *not* skipping another LOG, but Labor Day weekend is already a bit too busy in the racing world.
I thought Monticello had stopped renting out to car clubs?
