Just went to the dealership to get a new wiper blade. I was told by the dealership folks @ Princeton Lotus that they can take care of the recall plus ECM upgrade asap and they gave me a ride home.
FWIW, I told them to take an ECU dump prior to applying the upgrade patch just in case the ECU gets fried. I expect to have the car back at 10 AM tomorrow. I will post my findings tomorrow.
Cheers.

Has anyone had the recalls done at Motorcars of Georgia? I will have to drive down. They are the closest dealer to me and the one I am most comfortable dealing with.

I'm taking my 05 Elise to BMC San Francisco, on Monday. Let's hope for the best!

Well, my first experience with JN Exotics Service in Honolulu for the oil line recall campaign was surprisingly very pleasant! They took my car in on a monday, called tuesday afternoon that it was ready. They provided a new Audi A4 with 1300 miles on the clock as a loaner, no questions asked! I didn't even have to show the paperwork on the campaign when I brought it in. Feeling much safer now.

It will negate your gains and not run properly (A/F ratio will be off).
My car is an 06 elise with the Factory Supercharger. Is the tune for a non-SC elise the same as the SC elise?

I would doubt that the SC cars are mapped the same as the NA cars.

New ECU installed...car starts, but won't say running. They are bringing in a Lotus engineer to troubleshoot.

I swear I have all the luck. When I first bought this car I paid big bucks to have it transported in a covered truck from KY to CA and the transport company scratched the hell out of it. They paid to cover it, but it's still a PITA to have to deal with that. Now this. Aye yigh yigh.

Good luck!
I didn't know there was a waiting list. I just called for an appointment and said I needed to get the recall done and they said to bring it in (which my appointment was only a week out).

At first glance they did a good job and the service department has always been easy to work with.

Thanks MIKEUSC for the info. I will make an appointment in a bit. Hope there is no expiration for the recall to be done.

My A/C everything works no issue, but my "mode" that switches from face to feet, etc has suddenly stopped working. I would like them to have a look at it, but don't want a $1700 bill.

Which transport company?

Because there was an agreed settlement I'd prefer not to identify them, but I will say it was not Reliable or Interstate. Nice truck though, there was a malfunction so I was told...a fluke I guess.

Sucks. Its rare, but stuff like that happens. We had a car at work for the past 2 months trying to diagnose an issue. Replaced numerous things that corporate told them too, didn't fix it, finally had to have an engineer come out. Hopefully it gets ironed out soon!

We got a recall section!

My car's currently at Lotus of Austin for the oil cooler lines... they said the ECU reflash is only for the vin, no other upgrades - no performance benefits. They recommended not doing the reflash because of potential frying... anyone else getting the same advice?

Just had my 06 in for the oil line recall at Park Place Lotus of Plano and they talked me out of the ECU reflash (for now, until I can research it a bit).

My ECU issue was resolved and the car is working great. John at Galpin took care of me. I'm happy to have my car back.

Do I have this correct? While they had your clam off, they replaced the fan motor and resistors and charged you $1700 for this work? If that's right, holy cow....

He did say harness...so maybe they replaced the a/c wiring harness which is why it was so expensive? $1700 would be very high if it was the resistor and motor.

I got my Elise back from BMC, SF. Very works and seems fine. And they even gave the Elise a quick wash and vac. I would highly recommend BMC for the recall work becuz of their experience. I was their eighth one.

The part that controls that is in the center of the car under the clam just in front of the windshield. It is a PITA to get at it just via the service panel. Hopefully it would be easy to inspect or fix with the clam off.

I am in Western NY, near Rochester. The closest US dealership is many hours away.

Has anyone in the area had the recall completed? Where did you get it done?

My car hasn't been back to the dealership since its 1000 mile check 5 years ago.

Will suck if I have to drive to the dealearship, leave the car, and then drive back and forth again a week later.
