Does anyone know the model of the Alpine stereo the launch edition comes with and any other details about the sound system?
You know what's funny? I really cannot claim true "audiophile" status, as I enjoy music in my car. I even enjoy MP3's, much less MacIntosh and turntables in my car. I actually made a couple "lossless" copies of my favorite tunes and, back to back, I can't tell lossless from 256Bit MP3!Is it rich or exagerrated? AND the days of bigger , slower reacting subs is over. Bob Carver and Sunfire were leaders in that area ~15yrs ago. That box fits real nice back there but it seems to be saying steal me. Be careful in public.
I only made the comment because its seems everyone is into the features of their "new head units" but few comment on the sound quality of its amps and chipsets. The Alpine unit actually has a very good quality amp, they always did have a smoother sound and nice headroom to minimize clipping regardless of the speakers used. All companies change so maybe they're not among the best like they were for years. Haven't done the research to be honest.
I also replaced my head unit with the INE-S920HD. It's a vast improvement over the stock unit (even though it's not a Pioneer).Late June I replaced my head-unit with the new Alpine INE-S920HD.
I used a Dynamat competitor product. I applied it all over the plastic piece that the speaker mounts onto and also around the side impact protection beam (since the drivers are immediately in front of them...sought to catch unwanted reflected sound) and a big piece or two on the inside of the outer door skin.Hi Fasttoys
Nice work - do you have any photos of what you did with the door soundproofing to get rid of the door rattles?
