The first batch of cars was made in May 2004.

Post here if you are an original owner, your car is now 5 years old and you have had your car since if was new.

My Elise was built in May of 2004, though it didn't actually arrive at my dealer until early September (yes, that was frustrating!). So, the car's five years old, but I haven't owned it five years quite yet.

I took delivery of my Elise in the middle of August 2004, I forget the build date, but it's chassis #101. I'm the original owner. We're almost 5.

Never took delivery, but I just passed my 5 year anniversary of being a regular-poster here on ET.

Picked mine up Labor Day 2004. It's #126 and it still brings a smile to my face every time I drive it - even today in the May showers of Northern California and it hasn't melted yet in the rain.

Almost 5 years old. Boy did that go fast.

The build date on my car was Aug 2004 so it is now 7 years old.
Any other original owners hit this anniversary yet?

Put deposit down Feb '02, was slated to pick up Summer '04, but waited a little over a year (Oct. 05). I have one of the later build '05's, and have about 38k miles on it now.

Bought mine in Oct 2005 off the dealer's lot, just off the trailer the day before. Build date was July 2005. Didn't get to drive it until the next year due to snow.
