The team on offense tried to kick the ball through the uprights. The team on defense blocked the ball as it was kicked. However, since the ball was blocked behind the line of scrimmage (the place on the field where the ball was spotted before the play began) the play is still live, meaning anyone could pick the ball up and run with it. The team on defense either didn't realize what happened, or didn't know the rules. They walked off the field while the play was still live. The offense just picked it up and ran unopposed into the endzone to score a touchdown and win the game.
