You have a couple idle towns on your island. I suggest raiding them when you get attacked. it will keep your troops safe because same island attacks don't use the port to attack but use it when you take resources.

might be funny to "defend" one of your attacker's towns when they attack you to save your troops.

i sent this to irh

Hello IRH,

I need to address an on going issue concerning one of your players and one of mine. This concerned island Athaos[61:65], your member jpalhais, and the island jpalhais..the player fungicide, and his island fungipolis, and my member doc and the town The er.
A few days ago, fungicide attacked doc unprovoked. This is part of the game. Both towns were about the same size and fungicide lost his attack. The next day in retaliation doc attacked him back, and won… a whole 6 gold. A message was send to the jist of, you don t bother me, I won’t bather you. Very shortly after your member jpalhais, with a town size 24, and 75000 points, with a 3000k military score then unprovokingly blockaded and attacked doc. Wiping out his army. With in minutes, fungicide attacked again. Later that day fungicide attacked again. Only this time lost, as doc build his army again. The next day, your member jpalhais attacked in the same manner wiping out the army again, then followed by fungicide…. Then again today.

Its one thing to attack a player with similar scores, or to pillage smaller players now and then.. a whole nother thing to have a lv 24 attack a lv 6 player who is brand new to the game. And for no reason as jpalhais has gained nothing for his attacks, and im sure has a net loss of gold to attack. Id like to ask you to please have this giant lv 24 member to no longer become involved in anything between doc and fungicide. Its simply not a fair or interesting fight.

Sincerely,

Exarkun.

Click on the town you want to exchange cultural items with (preferably one of us ) click diplomacy, then click the drop down menu the default is message but you need to change that to "cultural asset treaty offer".

Just so you all know, my play time is going to diminish significantly since I'm on a little vacation now. I'm going to keep it going and not go vacation mode, but I won't be online nearly as much.

DrJ you sure keep a lot of gold for somebody who's getting pillaged.

Why don't you do like we've suggested? Jack up your chopping so you can run your gold down to unattractive levels. Then spend the wood on upgrades as much as possible.

Actually it's not much gold for pillaging purposes, but sheesh it's ten times what I keep on hand except when I'm saving for a trade ship.

So i went and attacked Fungipolis again, out of frustration and won, then the pattern repeated itself, the big guy came over, decimated what troops I had then fungipolis came back again when I had no army left and looted a few things...

Chop wood?

So they would loot wood instead of gold?

I need other supplies so I can build stuff as well, luckily ZJ sent me some marble and sulfur.

Also, I can only build one thing at a time.

You might want to use your spare gold on trade ships, it will come to use sooner or later. I will try to send some sulfur soon as I get some action points.

Yes, chop wood.

Better to have wood than gold, just because with wood you can upgrade your town, but gold can only buy you ships, which you can't buy right now anyway because you're port is demolished. Which since it's demolished they can't get more than 60 of your resources per pillage anyway.

Don't waste money or citizens on army. The way to minimize your losses is to just let them take 60 resources, keep your gold to a minimum so they don't take that, build your town up for now, and leave them alone. In this way, you will at worst just build yourself up a bit slower because they're nabbing 60 resources every so often. Shouldn't make much difference to your growth really if you limit it to that. So don't save up any gold, don't waste money and citizens on troops, don't attack them, etc. Just chop wood, and spend it on building your town fast as you can.

Suggest upgrading warehouse as priority, so you can keep enough marble safe to upgrade other things too.

Ok, I sent a bunch of people to chop wood, and sent a trade ship to get some supplies, and bought another one to get more supplies.
