i am upgrading my palace then i will try to colonize there. I seem to be really far away from everyone so it will be nice to have a colony near people

yup, the i pone is fine,,,,blackberrys..

im coming along.my biggest hold ups.. first, im running at neg 12000. so i need to pillage a lot! 2nd, my stocks are not increasing, so i cant build up enough to upgrade my gov reds. leading to 2 islands having 25% corruption. and 3rd, action points... i simply do not have enough.

I pretty much tossed out a level 7 colony in order to move. I think I am eventually going to move the other one too so I'm not upgrading it any more.

Okay, my plan, so you all know, is to create four colonies very close to one another that encompass the four resources. One will be my depot, that holds most of the resources and sells and trades them, the rest will just contribute, that way it's easier to defend the resources. Once I've got this, I'll establish my fifth colony where our alliance settlement is and send lots of resources there to trade and whatnot. It would just be hard to support one distant colony right now rather than making the distant one later.

I'm going to do the opposite I think. I'm planning on keeping one island, my original home island, but I'm going to build up my group area colonies.

I sent him a diplomatic message basically tellimg him that even though it may appear I ma not a member of an alliance, I am and he will get PWNED unless he stops teh attack, and he seems to have stopped for the moment and taken only 13 pieces of gold, but I am not sure.

basically, I bluffed, but it appears to have worked for the time it takes to save me from being obliterated until we can stage a counter offensive.

Good bluff if it works. I doubt any of us could PWN him alone, much less his alliance.

For right now just:

#1. Demolish your Trading Port
#2. Set your wood chopping and wine collection high enough that you have zero net gold coming in, or even high enough to produce a negative gold flow to reduce whatever gold you have.
#3. Keep spending the wood on level upgrades as fast as you can.

In this way you will not have enough stuff to pillage, making it cost him more to come get it than it's worth.

im trying a new direction, i am going to try and not run negative. pillaging gets to be a lot! and so im just barely able to run in the black, with no production or research... i am up grading all taverns to get my pop up a bit so i can begin working again. maybe by Monday morning. im sure it will be short lived, but what the hey. ive spend mot of the day evening out my troops on all islands. my base will be as follows, 100 phalanx fully upgraded. 30 archers(im building 90 more now) 5 rams, 5 catapults, 5 doctors, 5 cooks. and 20 flame ships. per city. from what i ve gathered in 2 battles iv e had with much larger towns that were inactive, i would be able to hold off just about any attack for at least 10 hors with this set up. with in that time d then be able to build reinforcements. and would be far to expensive for any one to attack me. at least that what im thinking...im looking forward to steam giants and paddle wheels, but thats still some time away.

ok, I seem to be ok for the moment, I think he recalled the 12 waves of troops he had on the way, but I do not know for how long.
