The fact that they are girls and perhaps underage is not material, altho for you it may add emotional content. What I want to try, since most other approaches are not working, is just what I said: Use the formidable power of peer pressure. This is often the greatest factor in young peoples' behavior. So, I can see a kid saying "Well, if I get caught, my folks will be mad and I have to go to a (pretty quiet0 court session." Let's try, "Crap, if I get caught everyone will know and everyone will see me humiliated." I would use this factor in schools, but this is not the venue for such a discussion. I apologize for the hijack.

I had seen the first story on our local news (hadn't heard about the second one) and my first reaction was that kid would have gotten an ass-whipping he'd never forget. I'd probably have had the cops take him to jail and scare the crap out of him, too. Taking away his video games for a little while is going to teach him nothing (as evidenced by the second story). His video games and just about any other fun thing he had would have been sold with the message that the funds were going to be used to repair the damage he did to my vehicle. I'd reinforce that with 'Doesn't feel so good when someone takes away something that's important to you, does it?' I'm sure some may think that's too harsh, but that's how I was raised and, while I resented it then, I do know that it taught me valuable lessons and made me who I am today. This kid is going to end up on death row if the parents (who must be in absentia considering that the grandma is the victim in both stories) don't teach him a lesson and soon - based on his reaction, I don't even know if that's possible. Unfortunately, I'm sure that he is one of many of his kind. OK, I'm done... Fail on!!! Last edited by Icedog_16 : 05-30-2008 at 07:01 AM. |

Since this is the FAIL thread, those guys at Fox 29 fail at proofreading and possibly at English spelling and grammar. I guess their staff was originally hired for television, where they don't need to know how to spell.

Crap! That's a different interview than we had up here, so I didn't watch that one. Again, death row is where this kid's gonna end up if he doesn't meet his maker sooner. The grandmother doesn't deserve this - or maybe she does for raising her kid wrong and by further being an enabler.

Stephanie and her friend have a bright future in the porn industry, It really is frightening to me to see the complete absence of discernment. Maybe I am the one out of touch because I don't have children at 42 but where the Fvck are their parents and why the Fvck aren't they stomping them down? I wanted to smack those Dolce Gabanna glasses off her face followed by a ceremonial dumping of the delicious starbucks frosty beverage on her chemically treated hair...Losers!

All you would need to do is floss the CGT at a Starbucks a little and girls like in that video would be after you in droves. I guess they wouldn't be able to discuss "thinking about thinking" but they would bob the knob if you dangled the D&G glasses like a carrot in front of them. |
