Passing Fail

I was strolling along a back road near my house (Elkorn Road, Moss Landing, CA), It's got a few cool twisties in it. Miata in front of me started hot rodding around the corners, so I decided to pass him on the only straight on the road (double yellow). Not only did I pass him, I passed a GREEN Truck. It happened so quickly. The GREEN truck started to chase me. I thought it was an angry "Mountain Man". I took off 80-90mph through semi twistie road. Got up to a stop sign and he flipped his little RED LIGHT ON ME!!!!. I GOT PULLED OVER BY THE FISH AND GAME.

Funny thing is, when he got out of the Truck, he was shaking, in what appeared to be fear, and asked me if i had any guns.

EPIC FAIL!

It has multiple computers doing the driving... I believe that is to keep them from melting down...

If I i had to guess, I would say that they've got their computers in the boot and have routed the AC to the boot to keep them cool. It gets hot in there on a good day, I can't imagine how hot it would get if you also had unventilated computers

Not a pic, but really bad scam. A post from a Subaru club:
"my friend doesnt know anything about cars and thought it was a great deal lol. I told him it was a great deal if he wanted to get raped in a back alley some where and lose 5 grand."

I saw this car (or one similar to it) at VIR last year. It was driving around the track without a driver. The GPS on the car has to be so accurate to get things correct. There were multiple antennas and multiple computers. The computers were in the boot with a separate AC unit to keep them cool.

It was fascinating to watch. It is still in the beginner class at HPDE though

It always took me longer to break it apart and put it back together than the time it took that guy to do it the "legal" way.

Bizarre...

In the early 80's (i.e. 1980), I had my technique down so that I could guarantee solving the cube from any arbitrary state in less than 2 minutes (and usually around one minute). Won countless bar bets... there was a short time after the cube's wider distribution that it was considered "impossible" to solve... it was priceless to see the look on people's faces when you handed them a completed cube...

And yes, that might be considered an epic fail as well...

Yes, but he'll develop a product/company that explodes and makes a ka-gillion dollars. He'll then date hot women in their 20's till he's 90. Like you said it's a trade off.

Me too! Although I don't think I had discovered naked women back then

My favorite trick to play on somebody else who could solve the cube was to dismantle their cube when they weren't looking and put it back together with one of the corners rotated by 102 degrees (one turn). I would then shuffle the the cube around and hand it back to them to solve. It was hilarious to see the look of panic when they realized that they couldn't solve it anymore!

My mom caught me with two naked girls when I was 7 or 8. I think they were both 6. We were playing... err, experimenting in a tent that was set up in my back yard.

Boy, did I get in trouble
