And this is inveted for bears:
WASP Injection Systems, Inc. - WASP Injection Knife

Quote:
The 'wasp knife', which can deliver a ball of compressed gas capable of killing its victim at the press of a button, may be heading for Britain, the Metropolitan Police fear.

A needle in the tip of the blade shoots out the frozen ball of gas which instantly balloons to the size of a basketball, freezing organs.
S&W also makes a "Bear Kit": a snub-nosed S&W500 2.3/4" revolver .50 cal magnum 5-shot with matches, saw and other survival gear/manual.

Kill a bear & break your hand - all within one trigger pull.

Product: Model 500ES - Emergency Survival Kit

About a week before going to Montana I saw a program on TV about grizzly bears.

You can't outrun a bear. They can reach speeds of 40 mph.

When approached by a grizzly bear, your best defense (assuming you don't have a S&W500 or similar) is to curl up in a fetal position. Three out of four times, the bear will just leave. One out of four times, the bear will eat you.

So let me get this straight ... If your attacked by a bear you take a gas-charged knife and stick in a watermelon? Then what? Offer the bear a frozen treat? Take half of the melon and stick on top of the bear's head?

I think the main issue there is that the car is about a salamander's weight away from 3000 lbs. I am SO waiting for that video to get made and end up on this thread.

Since we stopped talking about bears the gay bear dating site banner is gone and now it is one for meeting local singles into hiking...perhaps I could try and control the ads by my posting content...
