I hour of failure on the Discovery channel tonight.

The program is called "Destroyed in seconds" or something like that. The previews showed explosions/crashes and things of the like, it should be an interesting watch.

I don't get it... was he trying to land on the second one? If so, it was a pretty good attempt!

Yes, he was trying to land on the second pogo stick and the idea was that he would continue bouncing. Quote from the pogoer "I hate it when my nuts get in the way"

^ How is that a fail...that has to be a great move esp for Hillary supporters.

Definitely going to remember this post and give you plenty of hell if he wins.

He should have picked Michael Palin instead.

Really, equating Hillary Clinton's level of experience and leadership with that of a two term mayor of a town of 5,000 and half term governor? Supporters of Hillary Clinton probably will find that pandering at best; insulting at worst.
Supporters of Hillary Clinton, the vast majority of whom are dedicated supporters of Roe v. Wade, will find little in common between the two besides a vagina.

You should hear the girls talking today in the coffee room. I promise you it swayed at least 2 of them.

They are were amazed that a republican took a female to be his running mate. Dont care what your politics are...its definitely hard to argue this was a bad move for him.

Yours are the first TWO I've heard of.

I belong to a dog-lover's forum (mostly women) and I asked this exact question to them directly to see if McCain's choice swayed any previous Hillary supporters, or any fence-sitters.

So far, they find McCain's choice laughable and insulting. Palin is uber-conservative feminist... the polar opposite of a the die-hard Hillary supporter. I think the notion that Palin was going to sway women voter's from the other side or the undecided is just plain false.

The only thing it will end up doing is pleasing the disgruntled conservatives who were voting for McCain anyways, or unsure of McCain. But in the end, at this point, I don't think it's going to be enough... but anything can happen between now and November.

It might sway the casual/ignorant voters who supported Hillary merely for her gender. But then, do those voters even bother coming out to vote?

I was a teaching assistant in graduate school -- MS Physics. I was also a grader for exams -- about 400 students. Somebody made a very elaborate and detailed drawing of a statics problem -- ladder leaning against a building. I don't think they had a clue how to solve the problem, but I liked the drawing so much I gave them 7 out of 10 points!

I think you sumed them up. When I asked one of them later that day if they were a dem or rep...they said they didnt know. However, they assured me they would be voting.

I personally believe this is true for a scary number of voters. Also believe that you should be required to pass a basic government test before being allowed to vote. (IE, what are the 3 branches of government...what does a veto mean and what branch has the right to use a veto...just some very basic stuff).

Ok...way off topic. Here is some fail:

Marathon fail...these people are too serious of runners...
