For a while, nine inch nails had the Jim Rose Circus Sideshow as an opening act on tour, and Jim and Mr. Lift-o were "enthusiastic organizers of aftershow entertainment". After a gig somewhere in Texas (with Pantera visiting), Jim announced a "special presentation, not for the faint of heart, pregnant women, or the infirm". (If you've ever seen Jim Rose and heard his sideshow-barker patter, this will make more sense...) With about 50 people in the locker room at some enormo-dome, Jim announced that Mr. Lift-o was going to "demonstrate the delicate art of ass-eating.... and that's if you can take it". Lift-o and some willing young thang in stripper heels appeared, she placed her hands on the wall and hiked up her ass, her thong was indelicately shoved aside, and Lift-o commenced to doing the deed, with much hilarious commentary by Jim. As Jim narrated, Lift-o got more and more "up in there", and suddenly began to choke, sputter... and he jumped up, turned to the crowd, and ..... ... spit a huge mouthful of chocolate sauce all over the front row! After a second, people realized that he'd been holding that mouthful of Bosco the whole time, but for that first few seconds, the reaction from the people that thought Lift-o had just spat ****e all over them was priceless! ![]() Oh, and the stripper was in on the gag, but pretended to look horrified and ran out of the room... Somewhere I have polaroids of Vinnie Paul and Dimebag laughing with Bosco all in their beards. Of course they were right up front shouting "****in' get up in there, Lift-o!" Not really an epic fail, but the hot tub video reminded me of it. I think that was the same night that Tony Wiggins uttered the immortal and eminently quotable line, "I just ripped my dick wide open trying to lift a ****in' chair!" during a dick-piercing-lifting contest against Mr. Lift-o. I guess that's a fail, no?

In 1983 with no digital capabilities in site Zbigniew Rysczynski made a short film. "TANGO," overlapping 36 people walking through one room without colliding. People keep uploading it and Zbig gets them taken down. But, well worth the search. I eventially found it.
"Thirty-six characters from different stages of life - representations of different times - interact in one room, moving in loops, observed by a static camera. I had to draw and paint about 16.000 cell-mattes, and make several hundred thousand exposures on an optical printer. It took a full seven months, sixteen hours per day, to make the piece. The miracle is that the negative got through the process with only minor damage, and I made less than one hundred mathematical mistakes out of several hundred thousand possibilities. In the final result, there are plenty of flaws ® black lines are visible around humans, jitters caused by the instability of film material resulting from film perforation and elasticity of celluloid, changes of colour caused by the fluctuation in colour temperature of the projector bulb and, inevitably, dirt, grain and scratches.”
