Wow. That's nice. Also make me wonder when the next generation Elise will be coming out. Maybe 2010 to 2012? I suspect it will have the same platform as the Eagle?

At LOG Lotus said that the next Elise, Esprit and Eagle will all use the new variable architecture platform. The even showed CAD diagrams for the bare chassis.

This issue of Car magazine also has a couple of articles relating to Lotus.

One of them compares a brand new SC Elise to and old S1. Not a fair comparison in terms of performance by their own admission. But, they were more interested in the feel of each car.

I don't normally pick up Car magazine, but this one is worth it.
