I must admit, having helped build a tube amp back-in-the-day, it is very add seeing a ICs in a tube amp ;-) Sure does help make it smaller though. There were a LOT more then one tube in a tube amp back then.

The design here is more accurately a hybrid design I suppose. It is the phono amp in my second system. My main system has 10 tubes in the phono amp alone. However, the Bellari being an entry level unit, still sounds very good. I spend more time listening to it than I do the main system.

Sure that tube stuck in there isn't just a sales gimmick for people who think they ought to buy tube stuff? I mean it looks like the board is doing most of the work anyway.
