Don't feel too bad, my wife gets the same treatment whenever we fly in our 1947 Bonanza. The guys at the airports always walk up to me and ask me all about the plane and flying it, but it is her plane and she is the pilot. Even when they see she is in the left seat they assume I was being nice and was letting her fly it. The only time she had a bit of revenge was one day when I helped her pull the plane out of the hangar and I helped her with some of the preflighting. A guy we didn't know watched her get in and fly away while I stayed at the hangar to do some cleaning. He later walked up to me and exclaimed, "I still can't believe you let your daughter fly your plane all by herself!" The rest of the guys there overheard this and will never let me live it down. She is only 1 year younger than me!

6. This one was especially damaging. Just over the holidays I was talking to this girl forever on the phone and we hit it off really well. She called when I was at a family dinner and I went to the bathroom to talk to her. Family overhears me talking and then grills me who this is. They completely blow it out of proportion and every lost aunt, uncle, cousin, nehpew, etc wants to meet her when she flys back in. I go to pick her up at the airport and walk right by her without even recognizing her because she was a couple hundred pounds heavier then I was expecting. I then had to take her home and meet ALL of my family and spend the whole weekend with her.

I wanted to just drive off the road and kill us both on the way home from the airport.
Maybe they saw your screen name and thought you had food...

Reminds me of college. We had quite a few female pilots at my school, and a good chunk of them got teased all the time. I took a girl I see seeing down to Phoenix for the weekend, and at one of the bars my friend makes the big mistake of saying "so I know Brendan is training to be a pilot. Do they do flight attendent training there too? How expensive is that degree?"

What I failed to put 2 and 2 together on was why would a "hot" attorney ever need to advertise herself on the internet to get a date?

It was probably more like 15-25 hp.

I take it you weren't in a Lotus when you picked her up. That would have saved you some embarrassment due to the "passenger size restrictions."

I was thinking tonight. I just finished writing a 20 minute email to an online girl who is soooo boring but for some reason I still talk to her. I think I'm going to grab my computer (just the actual computer part) and run as fast as I can and throw it through the window as a symbolic gesture for quitting the electronic world. I won't even unplug it-- it and anything still attached to it will by flying through the window.

I will then retire to living in a treehouse somewhere with a space heater powered with an extension cord running to a nearby RV campground.

I'm pretty sure I'm capable of scoring nice women on my own without the internet but I think I just have a few rough edges to get sorted out. Like I don't shower very often, only brush teeth when I feel like it. I pee openly in the public. Wear wrinkled clothes all the time. Have smelly armpits in the gym.
