I bought the game today. Haven't had a chance to make enough $$$ to buy a lotus yet. Pretty good, I like it more then the first.

Sucks going back to a controller after using the g25, but no way am I spending money on the MS wheel after what I paid for my g25.

Bought the game yesterday on the way back home and played until I could buy the Elise. I started with the Golf GTI Mk2 - weakest car available for European region - and made it to level 10 at midnight

I bought it yesterday too but made the mistake of selecting North America as my region. I didn't realize that it affected the cars and prices -- I thought it was for XBox Live matching.

So apparently I have to wait until 14 to buy an Elise or Exige. I got to level 9 around 10 pm then had to go to bed.

I also bought and played it yesterday. I find the graphics only so-so (compared with the GT HD Demo on the PS3) but the endless customization options and the physics plus damage are cool.

You might be able to make it at level 10 or 11. I paid around 34k for it after 25% discount, sticker is about 46k. I purchased just before level 10 and won every race. Winnings depend on difficulty and race position of course. More bonus money per cup if you win each race.

Yeah, I agree, the graphics are just a little above average. But the rest of the package MORE than makes up for it's shortcomings in the looks dept. IMO. Most fun sim racing game I've ever played...which is saying A LOT.

I checked last night and I'm pretty sure it said I had to be level 14 to unlock them. Perhaps I'm wrong. Won't be long either way though, although I'm considering restarting the game in the European region.

yeah i'm a douche and i purchased my elise and pumped it up to 340 horses, i can actually give it more power but it's prettty squirly right now as is. it's actually kinda of hard to drive it right now with the power it's got, you have to really feather the throttle and make sue you're pointed almost in a straight line before you gun it. fun game though.

Yoohoo, got an Exige last night. The cars are beautiful. This is my first racing game with an XBox controller -- the "triggers" are great for braking and accelerating. Steering is still a bit tough but at least I can control my speed well.

Aww. Their Nurburgring is a little off *sigh*
While I've never been to the actual track itself... I've watched a lot of in-car lap videos of the track... and it's pretty easy to spot the differences.

Still a fun game so far, though.

The playseat, honestly, has lived up to my expectations...and those were pretty lofty. The build construction is very sound, the seat is remarkably comfortable, the fake leather is really nice, and the seating position is fine. You can adjust the distance of the pedals, and the distance and height of the wheel. You cannot raise the footwell without custom modification and extra steel, although it probably wouldn't be that hard to do if you were really determined.

The only complant that I have is that heels of my feet used to hurt because they rest on the metal bracket that holds the pedals in place. I've rectified this by putting an old mousepad with gel wrist pad over the bracket. I give my fix an 80% improvement rating

I'm VERY happy with my puchases. The playseat + kicker + forcefeedback wheel are about as close as anyone can get these days to driving a real car.
Damn you, Callabrator. I just dropped $42.5k to buy my Lotus Elise plus taxes, fees, and mods to come out to $48k, now you're going to make me spend more money.

I was very dissapointed with the game. The graphics are absolutely horrible for 360, especially the car models with jaggies everywhere. Another problem is that there aren't enough tracks in the game, and the nurburgring is modeled unaccurately. GT5 can't come soon enough....
