Gas Light Question - PLEASE HELP
I'm about 40 miles from home and realized that I forgot my wallet. My gas light just turned on. Will I make it home?

If your car is like mine, yes. My light comes on with two+ gallons left. YMMV

Sounds like I'll be O.K. Anyone in the Orlando area willing to bring me some gas if I don't make it?

Glad to hear you made it! I have had my car down to the last sliver of the bars on the gas gauge and it still only took 9.5 gallons. I had at least 15 miles left...though I don't want to test that!!

I remember being down to 2 bars, pulled over to help out an Elise that was stuck. So did my friend Stan who was following me in his Elise. We both couldn't start our cars afterwards because of the slight sideways slope to the shoulder. We had to push the cars to a level area on the side of the merit highway so that the injectors could get gas.
The Trooper was dumbfounded to see 3 Lotus Elise's stuck on the side of the highway. Moral of the story, fill up when you get down to 2 bars. |
