I ordered a big box of key blanks for the Elise. When they arrive I'm going to see if Home Depot can cut a key for my car in one try. If so, I'm going to offer blanks to Elise-Talkers. For some members this may be more convenient than hunting around stores or ordering a full box.
So, why am I posting this here? First of all, I don't have the blanks, and I don't know if Home Depot is up to the challenge. Secondly, this is a hijack thread. But my real motive is to determine the price, covertly, before posting a real thread of my own. My cost will be about $0.50 per key for the blank, plus $0.39 postage to the buyer. Do you think I would be rude to charge $2.00 per blank? PS: Credit to kahamai for posting the blank part number in this thread: http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18758 |
