Back on topic: the problem with all of these internet tests that determine which candidate you align with is that regardless of who is elected, they won't hold up their campaign promises anyway.

Tuz, racism and sexism do exist here in the U.S. However, as it relates to elections, one must consider another factor. There is a significant portion of the population that would take pride in being able to elect the first minority or female president.

That was interesting game. Ron Paul was on a high pillar with Rudy as his consort.

Interesting interview on Hannity and Colmes on Fox tonight with a pollster. They played the tearful Hillary moment for potential voters to see how they reacted. When they played the first 20 seconds of the tape, where she was emotional, there was positive response. However, when they played the next part, where she then goes negative on Obama, the reaction turned against her. The point he made was that the media for the most part only played the first part of the tape...

Mick, ever since you changed your avatar, you have actually started to sound like "House".

I read all your posts in House's voice now. It's hilarious.

as i keep saying the media is biased.
if you cannot see this, its because you just dont want to see it, or you are being fed what you want to hear.
when you take a step back and look at this stuff and use your head, its easy to see how the media is the king of manipulating its audience, its like michael mores(sp?) "movies", but disguised as "news".
the media shows stories, and presents them in a way to manipulate peoples thoughts in a direction they want the masses to move towards.
the election is a great example of this, and if you open your eyes and look, its a bit scary to see how much power they actually have in this country.
the media is the countries most powerful political machine.
cronkite found this out when he declared we lost in vietnam, and its been exploited to the max in the following years.

Without getting into the broader discussion about our news/entertainment media, I do think it is important to note that regardless of which party they are affiliated with, the first viable female and African-American candidates for president were bound to garner more than their fair share of attention.

Let's just be thankful that Britney Spears and Paris Hilton aren't in the running.

Sorry I missed the last few hours of this discussion. Instead, flew the plane with my wife to Johnston County airport (45 minute flight instead of a 3 hour drive,) picked up a $25 rental car (Aveo, probably the worst seats I have ever seen in a modern car,) drove to Rush Hour Indoor Karting and arrived at 6PM. It is "Ladies drive all night for free night" on Wednesdays. They were going to start a Ladies Racing League tonight, but didn't get the 10 women needed. Still, some excellent female flesh showed up, and it was a great 3 hours of kart racing. Two of the young women waxed my times pretty badly, nothing like getting bumped in the ass repeatedly by a chick trying to get around you. I am going to go with the theory that it was due to the 50 pound weight difference and not my driving. That, or as a few of you have pointed out I am insane and blind: obviously bad for quick lap times. Left at 9PM, back home watching tv at 10:30.

Got to love America where you can do stuff like that after growing up poor.

Ivan1, pretty bold to admit watching Fox to this crowd, kudos. I am a closet Bill O'Reilly fan myself. I wish Colbert and Hannity would do a show together, that Alan guy is too much of a weasel. It would be entertaining to have a Republican and a Democrat sit across from each other informally at a table and discuss issues, instead of the stilted "sound byte" debates that are offered.

This morning's Washington Post had a headline (complete with huge photo) about Hillary's "comeback" - actually had two articles about her on the front page.

Not a word about McCain's "comeback" or any other candidate...

Slight bias???

No big surprise there - it's a liberal vestige (although pales in comparison to the NY Times, or as I like to call it, the Communist Times). If you want to read about McCain's comeback, pick up the Washington Times...

Still my favorite political TV show: Keith Olbermann on MSNBC.

A little more liberal - a little bit different than the rest.

back on topic............
i am an independent when it comes to politics.
I will say this about the democrats: they should hope hilary is finished. her getting the dem. nomination would be the best thing to have happen for the republicans out there because I like many would not vote for her, and would vote for anyone but her. I dont much care for any of the republican choices either, but hilary will scare more people off than she can attract.
I would definately consider Obama, but if its hilary, i would certainly vote against her.
I also know that i am not alone in this opinion.
Also the fact alone that larry agrees with hilary %100, makes me think that something is wrong with her.
