fishguy, absolutely concur with your assessment. I would put good money down that if you asked people "who is the candidate you would least like to see in the White House", Hillary would net over 55%.

I dont much care for any of the republican choices either, but hilary will scare more people off than she can attract.
I would definately consider Obama, but if its hilary, i would certainly vote against her.
I also know that i am not alone in this opinion.
Also the fact alone that larry agrees with hilary %100, makes me think that something is wrong with her.
I'm a Liberal Democrat. I'm not the only intelligent person who agrees with Hilary and Oback 100%.

Hilary and Barack are the best choices to get us out of the hole this country is in.

The voters are agreeing.

Republicans are not ignorant or bad people.

But this group of Republicans has had their eight years to prove that they could do something positive. They haven't. They have left a hell of a mess.

Name one thing positive that the Republican President is leaving us with. One thing.

I know who I'm voting for and I'm not afraid to say it. I'm really excited about the positive changes that can happen.

fishguy, say who you'll vote for and why if you want to. You're a smart guy. But you don't need to include me in your political thoughts and threads.

Hilary and Barack are the best choices to get us out of the total sh*t this country is in.

I hope Hilary wins so that the Republicans will finally realize that they are an old, exhausted, pitiful group of people. They've had their eight years. What a mess.

Name one thing positive that the Republican President is leaving us with. One thing.

Now fishguy will get the final word on the subject no matter what it takes.
A quote from Ed Koch
"take 12 issues, if you agree with me on 9 of them, vote for me, if you agree with me on all 12, go see a psychiatrist "
so now Larry, you agree with both hilary, AND Obama %100.
time to make your appointment with the psychiatrist
Your passion has blinded you, and makes you seem like a drone who does not actually do any thinking for himself (politically), which explains the favorite show being olberman on msnbc.
As i have said lawrence, i am not a republican, but an independant, and your childishly aggresive responces to those who question you, are an indication of what i see about hilary. its not pretty, and it no way draws independent voters towards you. this is what i mean about people voting for anyone but hilary, larry exemplifies it in his remarks every time politics comes up.
Just like this statement by our young Lawrence, the hardcore liberal democrat.

"I hope Hilary wins so that the Republicans will finally realize that they are an old, exhausted, pitiful group of people. "
larry,
no way do i want anyone in power who thinks like this, the bi-partisianship that i see in this country is really "f- ed up", and it has been crippling this country in its potential to be effective.
I see the pictures on the internet(s) by the extreme left making bush out like hitler, but really, whats the difference in this type of militant hatred from guys like this?
its done w/o any thought, its like pulling the string on the neck of a talking doll for kids, only its saying political rants there is just no thought process going on from what i can see.
one postive i would say about bush is he enforces a system of checks and balances with the inept leadership that congress has had under the control of pelosi. what do they have ~%11 approval rating? i am not a bush fan either..........
blaming one party or the other is rediculous, and i can see why we are slipping in our world leadership position. we cannot even get along with ourselves anymore.
when you say the country is in total $h!t, i think that you honestly believe that, living up in your mansion in beverly hills getting your info from MSNBC, i could see where you might just possibly be a bit out of touch with reality.

I think most people in this country have an excellent life, so much so that we are having to close the borders to curtail immigration, as so many people will go to extreme lengths just to have the opportunity that this country offers, yet you say we are in toal $H!t...........?

sometimes i think i am interacting with a large parrot that has learned a few catch phrases, and has nothing of its own to say.
That, young lawrence could be the last word, but no doubt you cannot let it be. I have a bet with someone here on ET that you will respond, and that your reply will be predictable................. am i going to win my bet, or not, lets just see

you are right...Bush's record pales compared to what the Democratically controlled Congress has done...can you say earmarks?

But Bush is not running for President. So I prefer to judge all the candidates on their views and experience, not Bush's record, just as I would not judge the Democratic candidates based on the Congress's pitiful record....

you already, true to form posted name calling, and then edited it out, i think i quoted it before your changes.
here it is.............. by larry
" I hope Hilary wins so that the Republicans will finally realize that they are an old, exhausted, pitiful group of people".

now you say stuff like this, and then want to be left out of political thoughts in other peoples replies?
WTF?
is this for real?
you must be joking, as you attack a huge group of people, a group that i am NOT a member of, and then are going to cry that your somehow a "victim".
wow, just wow, not the type of mentality i would want running my country, thats for sure
the nice thing about being a "smart guy" who is not politically blinded by party lines is that Ican truely be an independent voter, and thinker.

Nobody has impressed me as to wanting me to vote for them, in either party, but there are some who have made me not want to vote for them, so its making the choice easier to see who i dislike the least, as there is nobody i really like.
i will have to see who the nominees are before i vote

larry,
please read what you write before you press submit, it will make your life here so much easier, and perhaps you might not put so many people off the way you do.
i guess you will now blame me for your posts, and that you are somehow the victim, when you are clearly attacking a group of people(that i am not included in).

Ok kids,
here is an easy example of the bias in the media.

i go to check out the (republican)debate, and its only being covered on one channel.................FOX news network.

the ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN/MSNBC networks dont even acknowledge that its going on currently...........

+1

Hmm, what about Ron Paul.. I agree with most of what he stands for even and he seems to support what he believes in with not only words but action as well. Too bad he won't appeal to the populace though...

Why would they? It's on the competition. It's a debate sponsored by, and exclusive to Fox News. They'll run clips when it's over. But they're not about to promote programming on another network.

People always cry bias for the wrong reasons. Make sure you know your facts before crying bias.

they will run clips................ need i say more.
the facts go both ways.
As i have said, i dont pay attention to the media, so yes, i didnt know that its exclusive to fox, but that fact that it is exclusive to fox backs up my statement about bias in the media.
I wonder if there are democratic debates that are also going to be exclusive to fox?

This thread reminds me of the old Monty Python skit "I'd like to have an argument, please"

Q: WHAT DO YOU WANT?
M: Well, I was told outside that...
Q: Don't give me that, you snotty-faced heap of parrot droppings!
M: What?
Q: Shut your festering gob, you tit! Your type really makes me puke, you vacuous, coffee-nosed, maloderous, pervert!!!
M: Look, I CAME HERE FOR AN ARGUMENT, I'm not going to just stand...!!
Q: OH, oh I'm sorry, but this is abuse.
M: Oh, I see, well, that explains it.
Q: Ah yes, you want room 12A, Just along the corridor.
M: Oh, Thank you very much. Sorry.
Q: Not at all.
M: Thank You.
(Under his breath) Stupid git!!

I edited my thread so it wouldn't offend you and you respond with thread after thread after thread of gibberish.

You are such a funny guy.

Have you thought about a stand-up act?

I would argue that Obama has an excellent chance of winning. Even before she announced her candidacy I contended that Hillary is unelectable. I still believe that. Time will tell.
