I assume that nobody has gone to the link above. I also don't understand (well yes, I do actually) why the media hasn't made a big deal out of it.

Basically, Bill Clinton is selling favors based on the fact that he is the former President and the husband of a possible future President. Can you be any more crooked that that? And this is before Hillary is even elected, what's he going to do after the election?

I think Obama is very charismatic and better than Hillary. However, I believe his politics are too far left (amd so are Hillary's).

Agree - but that's the Median Voting Theory for you. During the primaries, the candidates are scambling to their policy sidelines (Dems to the left, Reps to the right), and then as November approaches, the candidates are rushing towards the center.

The candidates remind me of the BWR/S111 supercharger threads: They all suck (politicians in a bad way, superchargers in a good way)

A crying president is the least of my worries at this point.
We have so many things to fix.

just out of curiosity - do you know what the source of that pic was? Crying at a funeral or war memorial - appropriate , not unpresidential...
crying for no real reason=can be taken as a sign of weakness....

never mind..I found it...
Tears of a President
Tears run from the eyes of U.S. President George W. Bush during a ceremony in honor of Medal of Honor winner Marine Cpl. Jason Dunham in the East room of the White House in Washington D.C. Cpl. Dunham was killed when he jumped on a grenade to save fellow members of his Marine patrol while serving in Iraq.

my point stands...

It depends on why the person is crying.

If there is a tear because of some great tragedy (i.e. 911, a funeral, etc.) it shows the person is human.

If there is a tear because someone is "picking" on them, then that is not okay.

So, it depends on why there is a tear as to whether it's good or bad - context is everything.

Fascinating how personal biases work, isn't it?

how is it a bias? do you think crying at a funeral is a sign of weakness? or do you think crying because someone is picking on you is not a sign of weakness? just trying to understand which part of that you disagree with.....

Crying to get your way is a sign of weakness.

The point is that you showed us a pic of Hillary well up with the caption
"Is this the image we want to show the world of our commander in chief?"
and I countered with a similar pic of w.

That's when all the excuses started coming in that it's all about context.
I guarantee you that if I hadn't posted the w pic, Tim M. wouldn't rush to Hillary's defense that it's all about context.

Hence my comment about bias...

I hope I made myself clear...

PS No, I'm not voting for Hillary.

I guess I wasnt clear when I said "image of our commander".."image" can be taken to mean the photograph itself, or image can refer to how she will be perceived (that is where context comes in). I was thinking more in terms of that, but no point in arguing semantics....the important thing is you arent voting for Hillary, so you cant be all bad

Actually I was attempting to be completely unbiased. I don't care if either one was crying, if they had a good reason, and I don't know the back ground of either photo. Hillary could have just as easily been crying at a funeral and George at being called an idiot for all I know.

If a person is crying because they are touched by "Human feelings", than no big deal.

If they are crying because they can't handle the stress, etc. then that is a concern.

It's that simple. No bias, and it applies either way, to both "sides".

Larry,

I'm still curious. You have a large collection of guns. You voted for a person that has stated several times that she desires to ban all guns. How do you reconcile that?

Just courious...
