Question How to copy music from Itunes to SD card?

Does anyone know how to copy my music from itunes to a SD card?

I have an SD card reader built in to the PC but the only option I am given in itunes is to burn a CD?

I need to copy it to the Sd card (as MP3 files) so I can listen to music via my GPS (Zumo)

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

M

Have you tried just copying the files from the itunes folder onto the SD card its self? that would be the easiest way to do it unless you are trying to keep the play-lists that you have...

buy a zune...15 a month for every song in their database. Songs able to be used on 3 portable Zune devices, and 3 seperate computers.

I've spend probably, EXACTLY 360 bucks on renting my music....that would have gotten me EXACTLY 360 songs from Itunes....but with ZUNE TECHNOLOGY, it's gotten me literally THOUSANDS of songs.

Since iTunes shifted to DRM free content, your player should be able to play anything you purchased after the switch. If you go to the iTunes store and click on "Upgrade to iTunes Plus" on the right hand side it will allow you to "upgrade" your older purchases to DRM free purchases. I'd upgrade 1 song then copy to your player and make sure it works before you go any further. Copy from the iTunes folder in your "My Documents" folder and you should be golden.

Just a warning, If you have the radio that uses SD cards in your car, do not format the SD card if it asks you to. If you use anything newer than Windows 98 it formats it wrong and it wont work.

I just did it but I have an older version of I tunes. You cant copy directly from the library. You have to create a playlist. Then click on the playlist and copy it, then paste it into the drive that you have the SD card in.

You need to convert the files yourself from M4A to MP3 for your card, dont think there is any other way, unless you burn what you need to disk as MP3 format then copy from the CD to the SD card...

But I'll have 360 songs that I own, that I can give to my grandchildren. I can use it on a hundred different computers and a hundred different players. If I want my music in my pocket, I don't want Microsoft's music in my pocket.

This isn't to mention that right off the bat the Zune doesn't fulfill the OP's most basic requirement, which is getting a file onto an SD card.

iTunes is DRM-free.
