I'm looking for a nice reasonably priced watch

I'm looking for a quality watch with substance that looks nice but without being too flashy. I am flexible on the price but would rather not spend more than say, $200. I'm not really a fan of watches that are gold in color. Are there any good online retailers?

I would just spend a little more and get an entry-level Tag Heuer F1.

If you wanted to stay cheap....I'd go for a Hamilton like this:

Check out some of the Seiko's with automatic movements. A lot of them are not sold in the US, but this is a great company to order from: www.chronograph.com. I recently bought an SKX007 Diver's watch for a daily beater and I don't think there is a better sub $200 (new) watch. Most people don't know that Seiko turns out some very high quality watches. For entertainment purposes check out the Seiko Spring Drive series ($3000 - $5000)!

I've had my Festina Titanium for years, and I really like it- It has 2 alarms, 2 time zones, and automatically keeps up with the date, among other features, all while not being too flashy (IMO)-

Raymond Weil Tank with SS case, not much more than that in a timeless design.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I am really fond of the diver style watch in stainless steel. Personally, I love the way Rolex styles their versions but prices start in the $4000-$5000 range. I would like to get something styled similarly from a reputable manufacturer. I am not interested in a "fake" Rolex.

Invicta is decent for that price range. Check out the Russian Diver watch, here's an example though with a leather band, for $200.

I have a Omega seamaster I love, you can get a used one for $800-$1000 for the lower end quartz movements.

Hey Noble,

I highly recommend Invicta and they have plenty of pro diver watches in quartz, Miyota automatic movements that can be had for $200 or less. For a Swiss ETA movement in the pro diver, you'll likely spend around mid $300 and up.

honestly good entry level watches starts at around $600 and up, and if you are planning to keep it a while its worth the extra investment IMO

See if there is a Seiko factory store near you. They often have killer prices on the higher-end Seikos. I bought a Sportura Kinetic for daily use at less than half of retail from the one near me.

I thought that the Tissot Touch was cool until I found out that in order for the temperature and other weather related functions to work you have to take the watch off and set it down for 15-30 minutes. Your body heat throws off the sensors, which kind of defeats the purpose in my book.

I have thee T-Touch with the Chrome Orange face with Ti body and strap. I love it, so light, easy to read and matches my Elise. Yes the thermometer is a bit odd, but as far as the other funtions go they work perfectly...
