Looking for a senior level sys-admin in Santa Monica, CA
'ello folks.
Because this is a car forum, I'll be brief... My company is looking for a senior level sys-admin. We're a high-level post-production facility in Santa Monica, CA (7th & Wilshire if you know the area; about 7 blocks from the beach if you don't ). Our facility is 90% Linux (Debian), 8% OSX, and have a few windows and Irix machines to round everything out. We also have a full video path with several Linux flame/infernos if that means anything to you (we already have engineers for the video path, so no need to worry too much about that). We custom-build a lot of our high-end gear (like our file servers), and have a decent amount of proprietary software running the place. Most of that is written in Python. We're looking for a Linux Admin guru with at least a little bit of programming experience. Very competitive salary & the benefits you would expect for such a position. If you are interested or know someone who is, shoot me a PM to start an informal chat, then we'll start you down the official HR path. If you're recommending someone who's not on LT, they can use my personal email... it's at hero.com & my username is the same as it is here - briank. (so my username @ hero.com). I'm big on referrals rather than using monster or dice, etc., so your good word will go a long way. ![]() That's all. Carry on. btw - just did route 66 through CA in the Elise last weekend. Lots of fun. Weird people out there. ![]()
