Man Designs Machine To Kill His Own Cancer
Man Designs and Builds Machine To Fight His Own Cancer - Diy rf therapy - Gizmodo
May he rest in peace. I hope this is someday put to use in humans and animals. For whatever reason, I'm unable to embed videos anymore.

Embedding this video is not working, a recent change to the HTML handling for the forums is probably preventing it. |

this is f*ckin badass. Too bad he did not live long enough to get the full benefit from his invention.

I think so too Ara - Mom died of cancer at age 53, friend dying of cancer right now at age 41, would be nice to level the playing field on it. Incredible that they are starting off on the hardest ones to kill first and are managing such success.
I was a radio troop in the Service. I fixed all the radios that talked to the planes from the ground. Everything they mention is not unfamiliar to me. What I find astounding is that no one thought of this treatment sooner. X-Rays = Radiation therapy (to my understanding) which kill bad cells and good cells also. Chemotherapy = drugs that destroy everything, especially that Bleomyacine (sp?) crap... RF Therapy = possible to destroy bad cells only by injecting them with metal. Freaking GENIUS. Now with FDA crap, we might see it in action in the real world within 10 years, if we aren't all dead in 2012. I'm sure this could save a lot of loved ones.

yes, amazing to me for years they have had supposed genius PhDs working on cancer then this dude comes along and invents this. I guess, he is simply smarter than everyone else.
![]() Sorry about your mom and I hope your friend will pull through.

Quote:
Take a microwave oven as an example. Stick meat inside and turn it on... meat it is heated. Stick some metal in the meat and it becomes superheated. (Or it blows up the oven after too much RF is reflected back to the waveguide.) Same basic principle applied here, without using high wattage or a high frequency waveguide so you don't "cook" everything... Inject metal into bad cells, apply a little RF magic, BAM... lots of dead bad cells. Like Emrill's kitchen. The reason it didn't work on the gentleman is because he was not using any metal injections to latch onto the bad cells. It would work quite easily if that part had been developed as it is being done now.

The real challenge will be in getting gold (or some other metal) to attach preferentially to cancer cells but not healthy cells. Seems useless otherwise.

I'm afraid my internet system is so slow that I can't play this video properly. However, I get the gist of this, and here's my 2 cents:
It looks like he was working on some form of "targeted" cancer therapy. Indeed, this holds much hope, and is one wave of the future. The idea is to direct some form of cell killing only to cancerous cells, with as little collateral damage as possible to noncancerous cells. Another take on this concept is called radioimmunotherapy, where specialized monoclonal antibodies are attached (conjugated) to radio active isotopes that have a short half-life and limited killing reach (such as I-131), and then injected into the patient's bloodstream. The monoclonal antibodies seek out surface markers that are mostly unique to the targeted cancer cells and attach themselves there, allowing the I-131 to kill locally instead of systemically. This is currently used to treat certain B-cell lymphomas. Never underestimate the potential genius of basement inventors. This concept, if not the model itself, could one day make a difference. |

Indeed you are correct GR82DRV, that is the intent...
And the most remarkable part of the procedure is that they are starting with the most difficult forms of cancer to kill FIRST - and have met with 100% success. Pancreatic, Liver, all show 100% improvement rate. The design of the metallic molecules is the part taking the most time. The hope is to design a molecule that can be injected into the blood stream that will inherently "stick" to the bad cells and leave the good ones alone. The direct injection methodology is nearly infallible, as long as human error at the injection site doesn't occur. Interesting how the melding of 2 ambitious minds can create something so special. After researching their projects closer, I sincerely believe this will ultimately be a MAJOR leap forward for cancer treatments.

This research is extensively thorough, and the benefits will hopefully be a permanent cure for the disease one day.
I tip my hat to you Kanzius.

Right there with you the1sen. As you can probably tell, I'm invested in this too.
I a hematology consultant for a major drug company. Ironically, I also donated stem cells for my sister with acute lymphocytic leukemia just two weeks ago. I'm happy to report that as of today, her response has been fantastic. I have seen cancer in a whole new light (professionally and personally), and I am so grateful for answered prayers. |
