MEN ONLY - NO WOMEN ALLOWED

I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread solely devoted to men and men inspired topics. We can talk about manly things ranging from smashing insects, bratwursts, sweaty places on your body, sledgehammers, changing the oil on your car, scaring little kids, etc.

I would like to go first and share a story from today with you fellow men. Today I was doing some landscaping and getting ready to lay some sod down in my backyard. While raking the soil around in the back corner of my house (you know where all the dried up leaves and spider webs collect) and found the ramains of the head of the deer I shot last fall. It was pretty disgusting, there were maggots all over it, dead maggots all over it, flies on it, and when I threw it on my driveway millions of little tiny bugs came flying out of it. I wonder what those little bugs were? They were like the size of a couple grains of salt. I recommend if you have any animal parts laying around your house/yard to get them out of your house/yard.

Here is my story. Maybe not exactly that interesting but worth to talk about:

It was very beautiful day today here and I went to trial run with friend of mind in a local park. So, we were two guys running in the woods and our conversation came to our last relationship we had with our exes and how much we missed it now. While running and talking , two cute girls appeared on the trial coming toward us from the other direction. I wanted to open a conversation with them but really didn' t know what to say. So, we just passed them by and only said hi. That's it.

We are singles and really wanted to pick up girls but we mostly suck and don't know how to get girls attention. Are you guys have diffculty like we do?
We are in our mid 30s, never married, and think we are nice guys with job, in shape and ok looking but that's not enough. We tried bar scene, on-line dating, went to friends parties, book stores,... nothing has worked so far.
He mentioned today to try this 'seminars' where some experts guru talk about this topic. It cost about $2000 for just a two-day seminar sometime!

What's going on guys? Help us..

Actually quite good. I watered down soy sauce, stirred in some wasabi and ginger powder, let the steaks marinade in there for a bit. Got the grill hotter than hellfire and damnation and threw the steaks on there. Flipped it a couple times and took it off quick. Cooked on the outside 3-5 mm but raw the rest of the way. Perfection.
Served with blanched asparagus tips with a blasamic drizzle.

The key is to not expect anything and just be yourself. Most guys when single are "desperate" and women feel that deperation. Just relax and see what happens. Ask her to do something really basic, coffee, etc. Don't ask her to go jogging with you, that's pressure for both of you. But maybe she'd like to get a cool drink afterwards. Remember, no big deal is the key. So many times we guys make things into a big deal and with it comes pressure. Get to know her and let her get to know you. Don't worry, if she likes you she'll see you again, if she doesn't, move on there are other women. Truly. Also let her know that you'll move on if she doesn't want to continue with you. It's possible that she doesn't think she likes you and then when you give her some space, she'll realize she kinda does.

Most of all, don't panic and don't panic her.

I've been researching why it is that I'm a loser .

This is an interesting response I read on a relationship forum to the question "why do women like bad boys?" Enjoy...

Quote:
Too many men use 'nice guy' as code for passive, nervous, boring and bitter about not getting as many dates as their buddies.
All of the *actual* nice men I know are very happily in relationships. The guys who describe themselves as "a nice guy" are mostly single and just. don't. get. it.
I like men who:
a) know who they are
b) know what they want
c) will stand up for themselves
d) will treat me like a real person instead of a goddess or a doll.
In my humble experience, self-proclaimed 'nice guys' are and do none of the above. It's a myth that women don't like good, kind, supportive men. It's true that women don't like doormats who think that the fact that they're not raging *******s should immediately entitle them to our attention.

"Girls" like bad boys, as they mature (if they do) that enjoyment fades. Being a nice guy doesn't mean being a doormat. I have never had a lack of interest in me and I have always been a nice guy...not a wimp, but kind and caring toward the women in my life.

I agree. I just saw and liked the manner (clarity) of the response she gave above. It wasn't my question. I've actually had great improvement personally by moving the focus away from myself (neediness and discomfort don't sell well).
