The next 3 Skins games have a combined record of 1-10. If they keep doing what they are doing, we could be 7-1!

They have also had one of the toughest first 5 week schedules in the league!! I would say that the Redskins are the BEST team in the NFC right now!!
Hard to argue that their schedule is not the toughest or one of the toughest. 3 of 4 games were against division rivals who are actually competent teams.

Like I said before, you have to be able to cover receivers and not just focus on the run which they do great.

If the Vikings focus their attention on Bush, Brees is going to light 'em up in the air with Lance Moore and Robert Meachem.

I see the Vikings ahead of the Lions in their division with the Bears winning the North and the Packers wishing they never got rid of Brett.

I see you have not mentioned the Saints defense. Let's see how they do against Steve Hutchinson and Adrian Peterson.

Neither team is perfect, and the Vikings are especially far from perfect right now especially with Gus Frerotte, but they are the type of team that can overwhelm the Saints in run defense and run offense. They CAN. I don't think they necessarily will.

Why do my Vikings suck? Oh yeah, because of the coach.

Beating out the Lions and Rams is going to be tough.

That's because their defense is averaging 25 pts. a game but against high scoring teams (Bucs, Redskins, Broncos and 49'ers) and their offense averages 27.75 pts. per game.

The Vikings on the other hand averages 20.5 pts. on defense against (Packers, Colts, Panthers and Titans who score 30 pts.) but their offense is only putting up a mere 17.75 pts a game.

The most pts. the Vikes have scored thus far is 20 against the Panthers while the Saints have scored 32 albeit an atrocious defense in the Broncos.

Bottom line is Gus is not going to beat the Saints and knowing that, the Saints will just stack the box against AP. However; that being said, I hope both defense cough up many points as this will bode well for me in my fantasy football league

I think that is what it will come down to. The Vikes defense may be good, but I don't see their offense putting up enough points to win.

Although Brad Childress is a pretty good defensive minded coach, Sean Payton's offensive playbook is thicker than the yellow pages he has more tricks up his sleeves and he might need them in this game.

This is quite positively one of the wierdest football games I've ever seen. Minnesota with 30 yards and 17pts? LOL

That was a trick. NOBODY roots for the Raiders!!

Ok, I do, but only because I feel so bad to see all that young talent (Russell and McFadden) go to WASTE...

Weird is an understatement.

Bad defensive team (Saints) holds AP to less than 20 yds rushing.

Champion caliber defense (Vikings) giving up many yards on the ground and in the air and yet, the bad miscues, mistakes and fumbles have the Vikes in the lead by 10.

Worst of all is the measley 4.50 fantasy points for Lance Moore (WR-NO)....

I think we saw why Gus is still working in the NFL...that guy is apparently indestuctible! Where do we think Martin Grammatica will be working next week? That was a bizarre game, but very enjoyable (as long as you didn't bet on it).

Ditto to you, AP only had 32 yds. rushing and Bush only had 29 with 7 rec. for 64 yds. and 176 ret. yds. with (2) returns for TD. for a grand total of 249 yds....so much for your 50 yds, eh? Also, this champion caliber defense of yours coughed up 27 pts. hardly championship caliber but BEST of all, the first place guy in my fantasy league was beating his opponent by 0.39 pts. using AP & Brees and with that last interception, he lost (2) pts. thus losing his match up and now I'M ON TOP OF THE LEADER BOARD.......WOOHOO!!!

Honestly though, this was a good game in all fronts but none of these teams are going anywhere...The East baby, the East...take your pick, Cowboys, Giants or the surprising Redskins. I believe one of these teams will win it all.

I'll be very happy if Dallas can win 9 games this season, they have a bad combination; A stupit. reject coaching staff, an average reciever who thinks he is Jerry Rice and an overpaid QB who thinks he's the all mighty Farve "Watching Dallas play is like drinking Castor Oil, you know it is really good for your health but you just want to puke!!" and the saddest part of the whole scenerio is that at the end of the day I still have to say,
Go Cowboys!!
