the colts are going to be lucky as wild cards this season, funny, since i thought they were going to trample their opposition this year
![]() at first i thought the titans were just lucky, after watching part of the game last night and seeing the highlights...they are pretty good no hype i hope the 'skins keep doing good this year as well ![]()

Made to round 2 of the Playoff's but need advice...
So, I'm reading, hearing and watching as much as I can regarding my two (2) stud RB's (Portis & Jacobs) who happen to be questionable for Sundays game and who happen to be facing some of the toughest run defense in the league. From what I'm hearing, even if Portis & Jacobs do play, they will each share carries and the injuries they are healing from is one that can easily take them out of the game if it reaggrevates as has happened already. I scoured the waiver wires and match-ups for remaining free agent RB's and the top three (3) remaining were/are:
Cedric Benson (Cin) @Cle Ricky Williams (Mia) @KC Justin Fargas (Oak) vs.Hou All three RB's were rated 3-stars out of 5 by Yahoo but the matches favored Cedric and Ricky so I picked both up for insurance. My question here is, should I replace Portis vs.Phi and Jacobs vs.Car for Cedric and Ricky? I know it sounds like a foolish question but everything I'm hearing says even if Jacobs and Portis do play: A) They face a pretty stout run defense B) They will split carries C) They are still listed as questionable and neither really practiced accordingly D) Both have a high chance of reaggrevating their injuries which has happened to both already Is Fargas even worth pursuing? There are a handful of 2-star rated RB's still available in free agency and are they worth a dime? Correll Buckhalter (Phi) @Was Jamaal Charles (KC) vs.Mia P.J. Pope (Den) vs.Buf Ahmad Bradshaw (NYG) vs.Car TJ Duckett (Sea) vs.NYJ Thanks guys!

Fargas is not worth it... He's on the Raiders, right? What is good about the Raiders offensive line?
I would play Ricky as Miami is looking to have a big game to make a run for the playoffs, but why bother with Cedric? I doubt he'll get much production in the Cincy offense. Portis has had 2 straight bad weeks, probably due to injury. No reason to think he's gonna bounce back against Philadelphia's defense. I'd take Ahmad Bradshaw or Jacobs even though they're going up against Carolina because the Giants really need a win and their offensive line got PWNED last week. What is Jacobs' injury anyway?

I'd start Cedric Benson over Ricky Williams only because Benson is the main guy right now and Ricky would have to share carries with Ronnie Brown who's the main back. Ahmad Bradshaw is their 3rd RB and Derrick Ward will get the bulk of the carries along with Jacobs. Jacobs reaggravated his left knee against Philly and although he did practice yesterday, it's an injury that can easily happen again especially with Julius Peppers playing the way he is. My dilema is whether I should bench Portis and Jacobs or just one of them but if I do bench just one of them, it looks like I might play Cedric Benson as the scouting reports says he has the best match-up.

You actually pay attention to the scouting reports? Cincy has nothing to play hard for. Miami has the playoffs to play for. If you think there is no mental factor then you've obviously never played football before

Ok.. so let's hear it for the Chargers. They've risen from the dead!
A few weeks ago they were 4-8 and pretty much out of the playoff race. Now next week they can clinch the AFC west with a win against Denver at home in SD. Looks like they're peaking at the right time (even if they could be a playoff team at 8-8). I think the Chargers are out for blood with Denver after the Hocculi debacle earlier in the season. If San Diego pulls it out next weekend, (I think they are going to destroy Denver) then they'll get a HOME game against Indy! San Diego has always had Indy's number, and that would be an incredible playoff game. If you're a Charger fan, Christmas has come early. Absolutely unbelievable from a team that was 4-8 just 3 weeks ago. .

But it could still happen this year. Call me crazy, but I believe that the Chargers are finally coming to life. Antonio Gates is starting to play like the pro-bowl tight end he is. Phillip Rivers is the best quarterback in the game right now. The defense is starting to gel. All we really need is for LT to get back to 100+ yard games and 2 TDs per game, and San Diego can beat anyone in the AFC. They'll beat Denver this weekend, and I do believe that they can beat Indy (as they have 4 out of the last 5 times) in the wild card game. This is the first time all season that I've been excited about the Bolts. At least they picked the right time to start peaking. .

All great games. I'll be at the SD/Denver game, which is now the NBC primetime game. That game is basically going to be a playoff game and playoff atmosphere. Winner goes to the next round, loser goes home. As for L.A. not having a team, I agree. I could care less now if L.A. lands a team. The Chargers have always been my "home team". I was kind of hoping they'd move to L.A. after the stadium debacle in San Diego, but looks like they'll probably wind up moving to Chula Vista or some place like that. .

I'm woefully dissappointed in my Broncos. Good lord. San Diego should light them up next week and that will stack a pretty loaded playoff picture in the AFC-Titans, Steelers, Colts, New England (hot hot hot), Brett Favre maybe, and the Chargers. I'll be paying attention, should be fun.
Stupid Broncos. ![]()

I know this is old, but it's still funny.
"Bwoken Widdle Fingey Tony Womo Out Three To Four Weeks With Bwoken Widdle Fingey October 16, 2008 | Onion Sports DAWWAS—Cowboys medical personnel confirm that quawterback Tony Womo injured his thwowing hand in last week's 30-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals and is expected to miss the next month after suffewing a sevewy bwoken wight pinkie-winkie. Team doctors originally believed Womo's poor, poor bwoken fingey was merewy spwained, despite the quarterback insisting that his pinkie felt really, really, really ouchie after being hit by wots and wots of big mean mans during the first play of overtime. The Cowboys are denying rumors that Womo will require weconstwuctive pinkie surgewy, insisting that it is only a bad owie and that Womo will not be placed on injuwed weserve. "Tony has been very, very bwave through all this and barely cried at all when he heard his widdle fingey was in fact bwoken," coach Wade Phillips said Monday, explaining that Womo was "westing comfiwy" and watching cartoons at home and had thus far managed to keep his pinkie out of his mouth. "I'd say he's week to week, but it's up to the team medics to say when he's completely all-better-now." The Cowboys originally sensed something was wrong when Womo threw three straight incomplete passes to begin the overtime after being sacked three times and knocked down 19 times during regulation by meanie-bullies who hate him. Their suspicions were confirmed when Womo blubbered to them on the sidelines while holding up his hurted fingey. Womo was immediately given an orange-flavored St. Joseph aspirin and a wowwypop while a SpongeBob SquarePants Band-Aid was applied to the pinkie. When this proved inadequate, Cowboys head pediatrician Daniel "Doctor Danny" Cooper inspected Womo's pinkie while trainers distracted Womo by making a spoon into an airplane and "flying" chocolate ice cream into the quarterback's mouth. "This was more than just the normal boo-boo," Cooper told reporters. "Tony has played through boo-boos before, like any team weader and big gwown-up boy has to. But when I saw the quivering chin, the big wet eyes, and the way he was hopping from foot to foot while holding up his widdle bitty widdy fingey, I knew this one was bad." The NFL said no fine would be given on the hit, as it seemed to be an honest accident and no flag for roughhousing the passer was thrown on the play. It is not known whether Womo will stomp his widdle foot and complain louder to the NFL regarding the decision. Phillips confirmed that 40-year-old backup quarterback Brad Johnson will start as long as Womo's pinkie is still an ouchie pinkie. "It's unfortunate for the poor tyke to have to go through something like this," said Johnson, who hasn't started an NFL game since 2006. "But you know, when they're little quarterbacks they sometimes take big spills. This will just make Tony-wony tougher when he grows up. I hope." In other Cowboys news, Adam "Pacman" Jones is still grounded for the rest of his life, or at least until he learns to stop back-sassing, and receiver Terrell Owens is listed as "probable" for Sunday's game despite suffering a chronic case of turf piggy" |

She didn't think those were funny, either. ![]() Then she had to watch my Giants win against the Panthers in OT. Serpent-you have to cut the Panthers some slack. The wind was howling at Giants Stadium and it was a 50 yard kick. The Bolts are peaking at the right time. And last year the Giants proved that peaking late in the season can work out verrrrry well in the end. I don't see San Diego going all the way though. But I do see them beating Denver Sunday night (gotta love the flex game schedule!) And let's all give a nod of respect to the lowly Miami Dolphins. Bill Parcells has some sort of voodoo magic that can take once dismal teams and revive them like no one else. Tom |

i know the wind was bad, but i'm a little disappointed in the panthers. I dont think they played to their full potential last night. I think they could've used Steve Smith more...the man is a beast.
