I don't have problem if you don't like them, what I resent is some kind of photographic rulebook being applied. I don't do passport photographs!

i use ultrawide for landscape and other subjects. never shot a fisheye though. i think it would make some really funky looking landscapes. try a few and show us the effect?

I thought fisheye lenses were solely created for taking pictures of cute animals close up and making calendars from those pictures.

I shot this a couple of days ago while driving through Colorado. I had just passed over Wolf Creek Pass (about 11,000 ft) when I saw the full Harvest Moon just coming up over the mountains to the east. I stopped the car as quickly as I could and shot this from the entrance to the Wolf Creek ski area.

Nikon D200, 18-70mm F/3.5-4.5G lens, set at 70mm, ISO 800, 1/125 sec - F/4.5

Original image 3872 x 2592, cropped to cut out road and part of sky, sharpened in photoshop and scaled down

It's not so much that you only live once, it's more that you're dead for so very long afterwards.

Another forum has been running a photo contest for MINI owners. On a lark my daughter and I came up with following - not the best but they were fun.

Car Buddies

Car Care 101

Dirt Roads and the Necessary Driver vs Navigator Lesson

I liked the last one the best.

What fl, F#, speed, and ISO were you using?

70mm
f/10
1/125 second
ISO 100

I've got plenty more from that day, the 250GTOs made my knees shake.

PS - if you save the file, right click the properties, the Exif data is retained in most cases, and the info you asked (and more) is available right there on the file. Fun to tell people what camera they have without them even knowing.

Same vantage point for this shot, which I like as well, albeit a later GTO.

Too bad the trackday season is out, I love amateur auto photography sessions.
