Sad news. I was at the local camera store last week buying some Polaroid Type 55 and the guy behind the counter told me the Polaroid announced that they're closing their all of their film factories in the next month or two. After he took my money, of course.

Thanks for the compliment. I shoot with a Canon 5D and that particular photo was with the 85 f/1.2 with available light. The vignetting was added during post processing to steer the focus away from the distracting background (I think the pinkish thing on the bottom is someone's arm). The pic looks nice when it's downsized, but it was shot at ISO 1600 or so and so full res, there is some detail that was clobbered, which is why I'm steering more towards strobes since you can still shoot at ISO 100 or 200 and still see the detail (like the baby's eyelashes in post #254).

lambda, are you aware of the lunar eclipse coming up next week? about 50 minutes totality

Dont know why. I have 100s of pics I took in Switzerland, but they all look so grainy, I never bothered posting them.



In hi-res, they look awful.
