I rarely use manual. I stick to the presets unless I know I'll have plenty of time to fux around.

My sister's website

http://edieetem.com/

She's only 19... many photos were taken in highschool.

She's currently a freshman at Pasadena Art College studying fashion photography

But what ISO are you setting the camera at? If you have it set at 400 or above that would be the cause of your problem.
Can't really tell how bad it is from the pictures you posted.

You can get software called "noise ninja" that can help reduce it.

Personally, I like the noise (or grain) and sometimes add it to my photos so they don't look so digital

In an attempt to find the RAW images that look like sand, I found some sunset(and one sunrise) pictures that to took in Costa Rica earlier this year. Hope you enjoy them.

PS: ISO at 1600...(I don't know if i ever changed it..oops..?).

It explains why the sunset pics are so good, though, right?

I have a D70 and yes I only go over ISO 400 if I have to. If you must up to 800 will be ok, but after that you get a lot of noise (grain).

I just got the D300 last night (previously I had the D70) and I tried a shot at ISO3200. I was amazed with the results. Where did all the noise go to!

A few from a visit to Waupaca, Wisconsin...

Canon P&S for this trip (SD700) - it was a friend's wedding and I didn't want to lug the big rig.
