1. How to Photograph Cars by Tony Baker How to Photograph Cars by James Mann I found both books to be a bit too entry level for me, but they would be great for people starting out. They are the only books I seen about the subject so far 2. Mosler was brutally fast- 0-60 in 3.1s starting in 2nd gear! (I only got a ride in it), wild looks that you either love or hate (but you can't deny it's road presence), sounded fantastic! But the build quality was lacking for a 200k car, but it was an early production car so the final cars may be improved on that. Why would you buy one when Ferrari makes a perfectly good car? I guess the answer is, because you already have the Ferrari ![]()

The first one was done with the camera mounted to the car (how it is mounted is a secret - sorry racytracy ) The second one was done with a gyroscope mounted to the camera and I was hanging out the back of another vehicle at speed

I did not get to drive it but it was certainly the fastest accelerating car I've been in

I took this one in my GoE (garden of eatin') this morning.
My bird lover colleague toldme those were some kind of a warbler. The guest tree is an Algerian Tangerine that has about 50,000,000 blossoms turning into fruit... Yum! Edit: Camera is a Pentax Optio 555 in super-macro mode and everything else is automatic. Untouched picture, no PS processing and such...

Mopho- Is the 3rd image with the SUVs an HDR image? Are you using Photomatix or what? I'm trying to learn more about HDR because some of the images are amazing, but I haven't found anything online that explains it well. Do you need to take several shots from a tripod when doing it or can it all be adjusted from a single shot?

You guys should include what cameras were used to take the pictures. I'm curious every time I see a pic.
Andrikos, edaddy what camera did you guys use?

Camera was a Nikon D2x The only PS "trickory" is that the person in the tent had decided to go to sleep during this exposure and turned out the light on me, so I cut and pasted the lit tent from another frame ![]()

For me, the first five shots were taken with a Nikon D2x and the last three (Mini garage, Petter Solberg and the rally shot ) were taken with a Nikon D1x

sorry, forgot to shrink the KC10, but the size helps it seem more realistic.
oh yeah, all photos taken with an old canon S230 elph. I don't have to worry about breaking it on the road. soulman Last edited by soulmn : 04-16-2006 at 12:51 PM. |
