Oilfield Workover Rigs
My latest job has be as a rig hand on a workover rig here in the local oilfields in Northwest Louisiana, tailing rods and tubing.
Anyone else ever have the um... "pleasure" of such a job?

You might look into working on an offshore rig. From what I understand, you work two weeks on, then get two weeks off. Food, housing and medical care is provided on the rig, and many people happily report that they have more money, because they're only able to spend it six months out of the year! Interesting to look into, if for no other reason than just to learn something new.
