I climbed to the top, Great view. You can watch the cars enter the under pass. I'll have to dig up the pictures. Great times - Rob.

The Monza oval is one of the strangest structures I have ever seen. Knowing the pictures of F1 races in the early sixties I expected a wide and reasonably banked track. In fact it is very narrow and very steep. Approaching it from a distance and looking at it in a right angle it almost appears as a wall. Too bad that it is slowly decaying. BTW, there is only the north turn left.

Skiing recovery

Taken about 4 days ago at Aspen. (Snowmass).

Amazing recovery by a mate over the bumps.

If I gave away all my secrets all you guys would hone in on my action!

Actually I did set up a fellow LT'er in it a couple years ago but he no longer seems to participate.

I just do it every once in a great while now for friends and such. It's not like when I used to do it nearly every day.

I was there with a group of car guys in 2003, No guard back then. We used the full speed running technique! The guard rails are rusting way and the cement is crumbling. WE drove a lot of the old course as it now access roads. Well worth spending a day there. Went back two years later for the '05 F1 race. What a crowd. You don't get a chance to check out the place except the current track right after the race - Rob.

Besides, at the area I was at it was impossible to go any higher as I kept slipping back down, I don' t know the grade degree but if I research it I could probably find it. I think 1/2 way is pretty good

Edit: The banking angle is 38 degrees.
