North Carolina
Last weekend my wife and I drove down to Raleigh, NC to visit my aunt and some cousins. I offered a ride to my cousins and also to my aunt. I was excited to see that my aunt was able to get into the Elise!
1) Snow on interstate 79 (or 77) in West Virginia about a 1.5 weeks after Hurricane Sandy 2) Fayetteville, West Virginia 3) My aunt insisted on going for a ride in the Lotus 4) Between Lynchburg and Waynesboro, Virginia 5) Shenandoah Caverns, Virginia

Gettysburg, PA
On the way back from North Carolina we stopped in Gettysburg, PA to see the town and the war museum.
During a previous road trip to the US, I chatted with a local sheriff at a gas bar. Right after he left, it occurred to me I had missed a good photo op--a picture of us in front of my car. On my current trip, I was lucky enough to meet a state trooper who agreed to pose for a shot. He even ran back to his car to grab his hat, which I think really completed the "look". 1) Some cannons on the hills of Gettysburg 2) At the civil war museum 3) Downtown Gettysburg 4) A truck with a spoiler ![]() 5) Posing with a State Tropper from New York state

Your aunt is pretty cool, I say.
Who dressed the statue next to Lincoln? That looks freaky.

That's a NY State Trooper. It's illegal to be driving while Canadian in most parts of America. Can't trust those wine drinkers.

Regarding the state trooper picture I actually had had a few other thoughts.
Being handcuffed for the photo would have been really cool. However my wife thought that was a dumb idea, so I didn't pursue it. I also thought that the cop might have then decided to leave them on. Having the trooper sit in the car for a photo was another idea. But he'd probably need to remove his holster for that and I doubt he'd oblidge. "Here, hold my gun while I get in..." Next time though I think I will try for a leg behind the head shot.

Elvis, Pete Paquette
We had a chance to see Pete Paquette perform as Elvis last night in the Toronto area. I have seen a few Elvis performers before but this guy was the best--he absolutely nailed it. The look, the voice, and the dancing were 100% perfect. He even had a bag full of teddy bears to throw into the crowd.
He put so much into the show I can't believe he was still standing at the end. Anyways here are some pictures from the show. Enjoy. 1) Elvis on stage. 2) My wife with Elvis. 3) Preparing for my leg trick. 4) My leg trick. Pete seemed impressed.

Christmas Party
So I was Santa again at our company Christmas party. Santa made his rounds with two reindeer helpers. I gave out chocolates and they gave out the Christmas bonus money. Guess who was more popular?
After that Santa and his reindeer went out in the sleigh. We took some photos and then drove around waving at people. It was a lot of fun. Enjoy!

Walking cross legged
I also tried a new act at the company party. First I get into the Lotus position and then I walk that way on my knees. My nickname for this trick is the "midget walk".
It is not very difficult to do but most people find it rather funny.

It's hardly the same degree of flexibility, but:
I wore my kilt to a Christmas lunch today and managed to get in and out of the Elise - hardtop on - without frightening the ladies. Not too bad for an old guy.

Ok, a few random comments:
- WTF is wrong with people from Canada? ![]() - Can we name this thing? Call it 'Craiging'? Can't be any sillier than Planking or Tebowing. Start Tweeting this and within 3 hours, there will be viral videos and tweets of celebs 'Craig-ing' - maybe even some cool Canadian ones like Justin Bieber or Michael Buble. - I'm curious as to how this actually started? How does one get to the point where they are trying this? I'm not sure, but I'll bet it all started one night at a frat party where someone told that 'why do dogs like their own balls?' joke.

Come to think of it....Target corporate is a client of mine and there's an insanely hot young marketing girl I deal with named Elise. I would LOVE to see pictures of her bending her legs behind her ears. Preferably nekkid, but in yoga pants will do!
