Thumbs down The Spirit - worst movie I have ever seen

Thought this might be good from the previews. Boy was I wrong! Honestly, do yourself a favor and stay away from this movie. No plot, horrible humor and immensely terrible acting. We almost walked out, but were waiting for a glimmer of hope. Movie ended and nothing happened. I'd rather stare at a burning candle for two hours...

previews looked terrible. sin city was unique for what it was, they shouldn't have done something so similar because it would have been too hard to top it.

i heard Valkyrie and Benjamin button were good.

I keep hearing this, but I can't bring myself to believe it. Not that I don't believe YOU, but I can't bring myself to listen to movie critics. I'll probably still go check it out, it can't possibly be any worse than the 3rd Mummy movie.

Also, I'd rather go watch this than another Michael Bay movie. At least his movies are consistently ****ty enough to make me not go.

the only thing that is worse than what they(hollywood) are selling, is the fact that YOU are buying their product.

The previews have done nothing for me. Not that I went wild over 300 or Sin City either. Benjamin Buttons gets my vote.

Valkyrie was good though, I would recommend that.

Saw the day the Earth Stood Still tonight. meh. It was okay, woulda made a better rental than a big screen feature for my $21. I'll skip the Spirit. Anyone seen Seven? Heard it wasn't good, don't know.

I was pleasantly surprised that Four Christmases was pretty entertaining, though. Who woulda thunk it?

Benjamin Button was pretty good. 3 hours, but it was an engaging 3 hours.

Kind of a Titanic meets Forrest Gump meets Little Big Man meets Big Fish.

ROTTEN TOMATOES: Movies - New Movie Reviews and Previews! before going to any movie. It isn't always correct, but at least you can weed out the horrible duds.

Spirit got 17% which is awful.

My wife dragged me out to watch Marley and Me on Christmas day with our teenage daughters and the whole theater had the sniffles in the end....I think I'd rather watch Marley and Me again than the Spirit. The trailers did absolutely nothing for me there.

Off topic, how does this make sense? I won't spend $10 to watch a movie at the theaters (good or bad) but yet, I'll spend the $25-$29 for it to come out on Blu-Ray

Yesterday I watched a POS called Robot Monster. It was God-awful.

the1sen: why move forward with design when you can recreate a monstrosity from the past?
FIL: Have you ever heard of a threesome? I know its her sister, but they are Swedish. That $hit is totally accepted over there.

Easy, you are like me. It's not $10 for a movie. It's $10 for you plus (at least) $10 for you wife plus popcorn and drinks or dinner. So now you are at $35 (at least) and when it's done, all you are left with is the memory of it. If you spend $27 on a Blu-Ray at least you have something tangible that you can hold, touch and watch over and over again.
