Stimulus package explained in detail...

Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House. One is from DC , another is from Tennessee , and the third is from Minnesota .

All three go with a White House official to examine the fence. The Minnesota contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil. "Well," he says, "I figure the job will run about $900... $400 for materials,$400 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

The Tennessee contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says,"I can do this job for $700... $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

The DC contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, "$2,700..." The official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?"

The DC contractor whispers back, "$1000 for me, $1000 for you, and we hire the guy from Tennessee to fix the fence." "Done!" replies the government official..

And that, my friends, is how the new stimulus plan will work.

+1

If you thought $billions were disappearing in Iraq, they're rookies compared to how government money disappears right here in the good old US of A.

Sounds a lot like the no-bid contracts awarded to KBR. Now who worked there before he was in office? Oh yea, Dick Chaney.

How is that any different than Al Gore both working for a hedge fund that seeks to profit from government spending on "green technologies" while at the same time playing environmental "Chicken Little" by distorting/misrepresenting actual climate data?

Oh, by the way, it's "Cheney", not "Chaney"

I'll make sure they spell it right at his trial for war crimes.

According to people who actually believe in global warming (even they claim he's being hyperbolic).

I'll ignore the insult since it's not worth my time.

Let's face it, both parties, and both men here, are corrupt as hell.

And yes, I wish people would do some actual research before they start using global warming buzzwords/scarewords. Perfect example of self-sustaining multi-billion dollar organization that's unlikely to be corrected any time soon (lest countless people and countless politicians a) look like fools and b) lose their paycheck).

I am as republican as they come, but I will say "THEY ARE ALL CROOKS"..

If a politicians mouth is open, he is lying about something. I agree bush didnt make some great decisions there in the end, but Obama is driving the handcart straight to hell...
