I just got a Garmin Nuvi 760 as a gift, so i'm selling my Nuvi 350. Garmin Nuvi 760 GPS Review
It comes with a FM TMC Traffic receiver built into the external DC powercord. So, for those in SoCal, you can receive traffic alerts FREE if you have a FM traffic receiver and you do not have to subscribe to any outside service. Free traffic alerts is good stuff

As a computer guy, you just have to go for the TomTom:
  • Ability to add your own POI and make corrections
  • Download others POI and corrections
  • Custom car icons
  • Celebrity voices
  • Text to speech
  • Bluetooth speakerphone
  • First GPS map to include my subdivision (<5 years old)
  • Spoken address input (Speech to text) 920 model

Lookey-lookey: (it's just too cool)

The Garmin 760 is going for $389 on Amazon. The 770 includes Europe and was going for about that same price this morning, but it appears that Amazon is out of stock on them now (I checked this morning).

You got some great feedback so I won't go over it again. Three points:

1. I've had both, the Garmin is much better imo.
2. Size is the most important issue for me so I do not have the wide screen Garmin. (I have a Nuvi 370). I do not know why I care what is to the right and left of where I am driving (I track up).
3. I've had better luck with the European Maps in the 370 than in my TomTom.
4. I subscribe and download the European traffic cameras for the countries I'm in (every month). These are basically POI so I'm a bit confused about the comments that you cannot do that. As a side note, having those cameras in my Garmin has saved me hundreds of dollars. Before I did that I got 2-3 tickets per trip.

Good luck.

As a pilot I have found that no matter on the road or in the air Garmin really does the best job with all the products they make. I highly recommend them. I have the Nuvi 680 which is an older model but gives traffic, weather, movie times etc. It is one of three different handheld GPS's from Garmin I own but each one has its own purpose.

I have the Garmin Nuvi 260. I didn't need all the other bells and whistles that some of the more expensive models have. I wanted something fairly small yet still readable that I could walk around with in unfamiliar cities as I like to explore on foot from time to time. I found the unit has satisfied my needs. I only noticed one mistake when I was in Philly (told me to turn left to get onto the highway instead of right - fugured it out eventually).

Garmin 660 does all the above for $280 except celebrity voices, but vulgar prompts are better.
