Did all that - and episodes 1, 3 & 4 have all worked. Currently it is showing 100% downloaded (and in the download directory there is a sub-folder S9e02... with a load of files in it - but none the compiled vid???)

Does your hard drive happen to be full?

If so, free up some space. It needs another ~720mb to reassemble the file. If not,

Thanks! This could well be the problem (don't check often enough obviously

). I have freed up some space - now how do I convince it to reassemble the file?

Pause and restart the download. Except after I re-read your posts I think the problem is different -- are the "load of files" files you see in the subdirectory .rar? You need winrar to reassemble the files. Not sure why, but I noticed my download of episode 5 was rar'd. Kinda annoying to do that on a torrent.

Just finished watching the last episode for this season. And I am glad this season is over. Been watching TG since the late 90s and this is one of the worst seasons ever. I attribute it to the hamster's crash and them just trying to make it happen. So hopefully they will be back with a bang next season... if they don't try some stupid stunts again

So yeah, all in all I am just disappointed this season... sorry Alan

this last episode is the first of the 'project' episodes that really made me laugh. the rest just didn't do it for me.

I agree that this season had too much irreverent silliness to it, but I did laugh a lot. I think they need a better balance next season. One thing to appreciate is that there are a lot of car programmes in England, not just Top Gear and Fifth Gear, and they are all trying hard to stand out. Top Gear is now just three idiots being silly with a bit of automotive journalism for good measure.

BTW as a kid growing up in England I've been watching it since the 80s, with people like Angela Rippon and Noel Edmonds doing dull family car reviews, and those you wouldn't ever want to see.

So was there something about TopGear not coming back? BBC had this about it, referring to Clarkson's comment about the show not coming back.

I hadn't seen the Clarkson comment before, and it makes me wonder where it came from. They obviously have filmed segments that haven't been aired yet (preview of the Europa appeared in the intro to season 9), there have been multiple references to it being back in the summer, and it is one of the highest rated shows on the BBC.

Edit: Just read up on this on Final Gear, and it looks like the JC meant it won't be back in summer. It will be back in autumn as stated in the article.
