Lotus actually tested the brakes of the Elise at the Stelvio pass. IIRC Gavin Kershaw and Tony Shute were the ones driving - watch the M100 video for more info.

Ya i saw that. Awesome mini-movie. Just do a youtube search for "Top Gear Polar" and sort by date added and hopefully you have an hour to kill.
