I'm shocked I haven't seen this posted here yet.

I hope her resignation means she is resigning from politics permanently.

From what I understand, she has amassed quite a debt battling legal issues, accusations, etc. I don't think she brought much benefit to the Republican party... if anything she damaged it. The only positive light, is that both her and Hillary showed that women are becoming significant stakeholders in the presidential and vice-presidential process.

Hopefully this is good riddance to Ms. Palin. Maybe she'll be the new covergirl for Guns and Ammo magazine...

If I was part of the Democratic party leadership I'd be making political contributions like you wouldn't believe to Palin's campaign. If she ran and won the Republican nomination it would lock in another 4 years for Obama.

I'm utterly disappointed in the RNC. What ever happened to small government, big business, lower taxes, etc.? They have really lost their way and some needs to drag them back to basics.

Maybe she is afraid that TMZ will falsely report that she was the egg donor for Michael Jacksons babies.

If she cant handle Letterman harrassing her kids how can she she be expected to run the country.

Another nail in the Republican coffin. This flippant decision won't win her votes in a Presidential election. As George Will said now everyone will see her as a quitter. If she wants to get out of the spotlight then this was the correct call, if she wants to continue in politics this will be a huge albatross.

The Republican party is rapidly becoming a minority party that won't win any election soon. We're going to become a one party system. That's not a good idea.
