15x8's Possible? - LotusTalk

Has anyone tried fitting a 15x8 inch wheel on the front or rear of an Elise? This would be for an auto-x setup. Any feedback on this is appreciated.

I think it would fit fine with the proper offset. I ran 15x7s there using cantilevered slicks, so they stuck out a far distance past the wheel lip.

Randy, I've been told that you need some front to rear stagger in order for the ABS to function properly. Did you have a problem with this? I assume you ran the same size tire front and rear. Did you alter the clam to make this work? What size slicks did you run?

I actually ran a wider tire in the rear. ABS was an issue. I tried disabling it by pulling a sensor connector.

I did not need to alter the clam to make this work. I will have to look up the tire sizes.
