Pagid price increase (for everyone, everywhere who has Pagids) has finally "happened" - all those who have already ordered, your prices will remain the same.

I still don't think you won't find a better price / service

(I have absorbed some of the price increase)

They are the U2593 and not the U1587? I need to get a pair but I only want the U2593's.

2593 is the favored pad as it does not have the 1587 inner radius scallop which doesn't quite allow 100% disc contact.

RS14: I have ALL 2593 at this time - ;-)

So which one do you guys think is the best? I like brakes that grab pretty hard, the oem brake pads have almost gotten me in 2 wrecks (Ice mode).

How do you guys think it would handle if I put the RS14 Blacks on front while the rear is still stock?

The rear is underbraked to begin with.

+1. The car needs more rear bias, not more front. Adding a higher friction compound to one end will increase the bias to whatever end you add it to.

Exactly. Some even put on a lower friction pads up front, ie RS19 front and RS14 rear.
I'd do RS14 all around to be safe and really optimize the car.

Blacks only up front is gonna feel really weird and is something I definitely would never do...

I thought the guys that disabled the ABS due to the "ice mode" thing said the rears lock up first?

If the car truly needs more rear brake bias, a popular mod for the Viper guys (same rear calipers on the early models) is to get the rear calipers overbored and bigger pistons. If anyone is interested I can dig up the contact info for the guy that does the mod.

Well, I never had a problem with "ice mode" until I realigned the car with more negative camber front and rear. That would increase rear brake effectiveness. Now I experience "ice mode" all the time on track. I use Pagid blues.

Would like to hear if anyone has experimented with different pads front/rear to address this.

Edit 04-14-08: the ABS problem seems to have come from an incorrectly sized rear tire, not the camber change.

After reading this thread I wish I had not bought the R4S Porterfields. The good news is, they are still new in the box. Anyone need a set?

Rennstore, what's the difference between the 42 Blues and the dark blues?

RS4-2 Blues are related to the Oranges - good pad for track & street as not *too* much noise on the street - typically.

The dark Blues are:

The Sport Pad is a high performance compound with low fading characteristics and high cold-friction. . It is rotor friendly and suitable for street and **light track use**.
